So yeah, talk about your most frustrating moments when you play any kind of game, most preferably ones that are difficult, but any kind of game is allowed too, even to indie games.

The hardest part of any game I have completed was Veni, Vidi, Vici from VVVVVV.

The boost guardian was kind of hard but the spider guardian was more frustrating in Metroid Prime 2.

Binding of Isaac: Dying in the room right before Mom's heart when I have the Bible equipped.
Dwarf Fortress: Everything. Hell, even the menu's are hard.
La-Mulana: Try it without watching every part of Deceased Crab's Let's Play. I dare you.
I Wanna Be The Guy: Motherfucking. Ghosts n Goblins stage.

The rage against Dwarf Fortress can be a bit lessened when you realize that the game is about the Rise and Fall of a mighty empire.

Although, to tell the truth, I never got to the mighty empire part :X

Facing Clay, even with a Serperior, Panpour, and Tympole.

in a game where so much focuses on your ability to read the giant dragon monster's tells and react accordingly that gives you monster that YOU CANT FUCKING SEE. GAAAAHHHHH

To be honest, I never had owned any consoles and games save for the outdated PlayStation 2 and its titles. I just suck at keeping money for those, and that my parents most likely did not allow me, so all I got was most computer games (that is, if I'm lucky enough to receive gift copies of buy-then-play games on each occasion).

JRPGs. I was a wee bit pissed off at some boss fights, 'specially back when I played Persona 4.

And then, I can't redstone on Minecraft WITHOUT watching tutorials repeatedly. I'm an amnesiac monkey when it comes to complex builds.

Checkmating your opponent in Chess with only a King and a Rook. I wasn't paying attention when I was being taught how to do it and now I pay the price with constant accidental stalemates.

This is the formation you have to make:

Obviously, the rook can be anywhere on the opposing king's row so long as there are at least two spaces between it and the opposing king. You have to push them all the way to one of the four sides of the chess set. Use the rook to force the king off one row while using your own king to prevent the other from just flipping rows back and forth. Eventually, with enough moves, he'll be forced to the edge of the board. Once you get there, force the opposing king into the same column as your own, then move the rook to the last row. Checkmate.

If it makes you feel better, actually knowing seriously how to use redstone is pretty much like getting a computer engineering degree, or at least taking base level classes.
It's all basic logic and circuitry from the logic gate level.
My main problem with redstone is that its just a pain in the neck to use.
Making the gates is hard, laying out the redstone is hard. Just URG!
Heck, it's pretty much easier to design these circuits in real life than in Minecraft.

It'd really help if you could make redstone gates as just droppable pieces (like the repeaters) and also insulated redstone which doesn't touch other, nearby redstone.
It'd be so much easier then....

played on insanity. the former part took an insane level of persistence, and the latter being one of the farthest non-artificially parameterized gaming feats ive ever seen. the last minute or so of the 10 minutes of that boss is just really annyong.
blargh i wish i had recorded it on a better computer

things that used to be hard were jumper 2, and jumper redux. both games took me an extremely significant portion of time to get good enough to beat.
