Alternatively; Red is allowed to camp in the shop, but the shop has one never-revealed-before-now rule about loitering: In order to stay more than 2 turns, you must break out into song. Because a singing, dancing Red is something we'd all want to see.

more like "buy something or you're banned from the shop" and similar reasoning for the arena room - "fight or be bounced"

Cue Red slowly selling and reselling all his items to survive until he runs out of money thanks to selling price reduction.

at which point he gets kicked out and immediately slaughtered by team DR who subsequently proceed to buy the gust set and give it to grey

Red sets up camp in the shop, while engaging the Shopkeeper in small talk.
'So yeah, I'm planning on visiting Mustard to tell him that Green died.
Afterwards, I'm probably going to the Room of Sins, that place looks pretty cool.
So, uh, what do you do here all day?
I mean, we are your only clients, right?
Hey, what is that Mystery Box?
Could I buy it for 0 Myridins?'

The Shopkeeper is a bit suspicious with regards to Red's intentions.
'I run the Arena as well as the Shop. There's plenty to do. The Mystery Box can not be bought for 0 Myridin, but it can be for any other positive amount...
You're not just going to hide in here, are you?'

Before reassuring the Shopkeeper, Red pops outside to have a look.

Sure enough, team Mustard is still waiting for him. He pops back inside.
'Are we just going to stand here until he is kicked out of the Shop?'
    'Yes.'
    A visitor arrives.
'Oh, there you are! What the hell have you been up to? Is the Betrayer dead yet?'

Dropbox can make links, you have to link them from the Public Folder using the CopyPublicLink button. Every other folder will show an error.

So, I went from hating Red to loving him now that he's our lovable, murderous, comedic underdog. I'm hoping there's a way he can scrape by and get past Team Navy to get to the Room.

My suggestion would be for Red to ensure the shopkeeper that, no, he's not going to camp in there forever. Hell, he doesn't want to. All he needs is a way to get past the trio of thugs outside. He'll be in there for 2, 3 turns tops. For the next turn, he should probably repair his other weapon while asking the shop-keep about the potions (what are the stats they give?), the books (what all subjects does he have?), and if there's any other way he could earn some Myridin from him. Any chores in the store that need doing? Is he SUUUURE he doesn't want the SHINY GOLDEN KEY, which he could always melt down to make jewelry or gild some armor? You'd let it go for 1 Myridin, and he could EASILY find a way to make it much more valuable than that. If Red COULD talk him into buying the key, then I'd use the Myridin from that to buy the MYSTERY BOX. Any other items are, with Red's class, MUCH too valuable to sell at the prices offered.

    Navy

Navy turns around, and tries talking himself out of a scolding.

'Uh, which one? Because one of them is dead we're just, uh, visiting the shop, kinda. About to make the final push.'

    Red

Of course I'm not staying here forever!
Just waiting for the punks that are waiting for me to go away.
Say, would you be interested in this golden key?
You could melt it into a golden ring!
Or just sell it to some chump for an excruciating price.
I can see it now: The Key of Golden Wonders, worth 5 Myridins, able to open a secret chest in this dungeon said to contain invaluable artifacts!
So, what do you say? Trade it for that Mystery Box?
Or maybe do you need the help of a charming adventurer?
More Flybeasts to kill? Some Bandits stealing your loot?
    Really, I'm just fucking curious.
As a side note, would you happen to know a secret passage to the cave of sins?
    ...
    Was that a mouse?

Navy hurries over to General Dark and attempts to talk his way out of being scolded.
'Uh, which one? Because one of them is dead we're just, uh, visiting the shop, kinda. About to make the final push.'
'What do you mean 'which one'? The fucking big guy trying to kill me, obviously!'
'Oh. That one! Yeah, we are going to get him in a minute. Won't be long.'
'Good. Look, I managed to get free of all the damn paperwork for a bit, so if you make it soon I can come along. Perhaps I can get another shot at Mustard.'

Red, meanwhile, is trying to talk his way out of a scolding from the Shopkeeper.

'Oh my god shut up. I don't want your key. It comes from that stupid Dark Red clone and I'm not touching his stuff, no matter how much secret chests it opens.
As for a secret passage, that's open for discussion. How much are you willing to pay for that information?'

I was trying to say that the key would be useless if the owner is not there to use it.

    Too bad, Gecky.

pretty much. essentially red was a moron to bully Emerald for a Chest item that already wasn't sold, because he can't use it in any way and in fact can't sell it either.

Dammit, why are all of my items so much useful?!?

    Red

'Well, first of all, I would probably stop talking!
    Heh... Yeah, sorry.
Depending on the spot it would lead to, this secret passage might be worth a Mouse Armor.
But yeah, I'd need more info.

It's hard to tell at this moment if it's worth it. If team mustard decides to stay camping in front of the Shop, then yes, it'd be very much worth it.
If they go with General Dark to fight the Betrayer, than you might be better off just leaving through the front door.

Also, I haven't fully decided yet where the tunnel would lead, mostly so I could make it more favorable if you decided to throw five Myridin at the guy or something.

Red should ask if there's anything else he could do for the shopkeep, while waggling his eyebrows and slowly undoing the straps on his armor.

... Wait, no, trying to seduce the shopkeeper would probably get him kicked out. Nevermind.

    Navy

'Sounds like a plan. Finish this once and for all.'

'Brown, Grey, get your shit together, lets do what we finally came here for. We'll deal with Red later.'

    <insert DR remark about Red>

'No no no, the other Red, the one that was with us. The bad one.'

Excuse me, are you mixing up between Team Splicer and Team Black Master, and twice? o_o

Re: DungeonCrawl thread 3: You guys, just die already.

I am, apparantly, but only once.
Navy and co are team Dark Red, not Team Mustard. The Black Master is the Betrayer.

All my equipment is fixed, yes?

Do I also have to protect The Betrayer or just kill Dark Red?

    technically? only the latter

but flavorwise you're SUPPOSED to do the former

There is no 'supposed' in the flavor. It is very much possible that your escapee joined a team for different reasons than wanting to help one side.
Seeing how they originally came here to kill both sides, that is actually pretty likely.

ehhhh well originally they were "supposed to" try to defend their own sides I believe it was said

    which didn't happen but w/e

'Sounds like a plan. Finish this once and for all.'
'Brown, Grey, get your shit together, lets do what we finally came here for. We'll deal with Red later.'

'Wait, what the fuck? Red is my friend! He makes great pancakes.'
'No no no, the other Red, the one that was with us. The bad one.'
    'Alright. Let's get going then.'
General Dark leads the way out of the Arena.

Red is unaware of this development, and continues haggling for a secret passage.

'Well, first of all, I would probably stop talking!
    Heh... Yeah, sorry.

'Well, the thing is, we have more than one passage. I guess it depends on how much you pay me which one I will show you.
For the Mouse Armour I might take you to the Acid room.'

How the heck has this game last this long?
I was in the first version of this game and it lasted less than half a thread!

Red needs to haggle for the huge bomb and lob it into the room while they're in the middle of the boss-fight... XD

Seriously, though, I hope he happens to check outside, but that'd probably be meta-gaming. The Mouse Armor is pretty useful, and I'd hate to see him haggle it off for no reason.
