The sunlight touches the face of a young woman.
She just moved here mere days ago. The city still seems strange and alien to her.

In her dreams she is important, significant.

But now is not the time for dreams.
Today is a big day for her. Today is the day she takes the first step on an adventure.

Today is the first day of her classes at the local academy. It is the reason she is here, so far from home.
They are classes specific for the more unique strain of human she is.
If she doesn't hurry, she will be late.

I am on exactly enough of a Fritz Lang rush for this to be my new favorite thing.

I thought the big skyscrapers reminded me of Metropolis a bit. Specifically #11.

Oh my goodness!
I didn't expect anyone to even notice this adventure for at least twenty-four hours,
Much less the reaction it got.

Thank you, I suppose! (in return, have some tasteful semi-implied nudity?)

This update was quite a bit later than I would like simply because the moment I launched the comic my family structure completely broke down into absolute chaos and I was indisposed with several design projects. For the first time ever, I'm actually making some semblance of money off my art!
I can't imagine why someone would want to pay me for my art when there are better artists out there, but I certainly don't object to being able to do what I love and make pocket change doing it.
