Seeing a dead God tier Karkat is not the same, because it fits into the rules we already know. It doesn't demand you to question the rules. So when it is confirmed that it does not, in fact, break the rules, then complaining that it's bullshit makes absolutely no sense. It just doesn't. It's almost unfair to complain that the rules aren't being broken.
And besides, the alternative is, what, playing out your... your... I don't want to say fanfiction but you pretty much wrote out an actual outline to a story, and if the alternative is playing out your fanfiction, then that's what you're actually complaining about, isn't it? The story isn't bending over backwards to your canon-breaking fanfiction. I know people say "fanfiction" in response to theories in a demeaning way and I'm trying not to do that but that's what is almost literally happening here, isn't it?
