He had time to watch Parks and Recreation. I'm sure he just says that so the fandom doesn't use his askbox to tell him to watch anime or stuff like that, but I'm okay with it.
Parks and Recreation comes on once a week. He doesn't have time to archive binge a show, is what I mean. Which is pretty much what he would have to do in the case of any anime recommended to him.
But I also get the feeling he doesn't like and isn't particularly interested in liking anime.

Well, that's all just speculation. I hardly think Hussie would have just taken a huge break right before the most important date on the Homestuck calendar, and when he ran out of time to release whatever he actually had planned, he put this up instead.
That being said, if he did just take the week off, give him a break, this is a crazy huge project.
Extensive Pause A6A3 will also begin on 4/13, coinciding with the second installment of coloUrs and mayhem, and the end of Homestuck’s third year. Please use the next ten days wisely, mostly by making an effort not to go insane. I recommend distractions.
That hasn't happened yet today. 4/13 is not over yet.
Damn, this secret project I'm doing is taking long. I'm planning to post it by my 10.000th post, which according to my calculations should be somewhere end of July, beginning of August 2013 (I have 5150 posts at this point, but I have already been going for 3 months or so)
Theories
Liv Tyler's whole journey will be shown in a flash called [S] Terry: Fast forward to Liv while a fast version of "How Do I" plays. Semi-confirmed.
While Caliborn is talking to this person at the other side of the terminal, this person at one point says: “Hey. Caliborn. Don’t turn your back on the body.”
Caliborn turns around and notices Gamzee’s body is gone.
honk
And so it begins again. Semi-confirmed.
GCat just teleported Roxy to the Condesce.Confirmed
Calliope and uu are living on B2 Earth, or maybe a doomed timeline version of it where the Red Miles didn't reach it (yet).
uu will write the LE code to make himself immortal.
A Frog Temple for Calliope and uu is somewhere in the Trolls' meteor somehow.
Gamzee went into hiding so he could protect the corpses of the Trolls of being destroyed so he could prototype them in B2.
GCat is Calliope's jUjU, in case the Cherubs are living on B2 Earth, late into the future. It would make a bit of sense, since First Guardians have Lime coloured features (teleportation powers, tongue, etc.) which Calliope has as blood colour. Also, Calliope is a Hero of Space and Heroes of Space usually have connections to their First Guardian.
B2 Earth is not going to get destroyed by the Red Miles since the Condesce, GCat, Lil Cal and Lil Seb are still there.
Dad will find Jane's body on Derse and a callback is made to Grandpa Harley finding Dream Jane's body. Not knowing how to escape, Dad panics. But then, B2 Jade comes flying along on a ship and offers him a ride and he gets shipped somewhere. Perhaps shipped with someone else. Perhaps he gets shipped with B2 Rose.

Dude do you really think that's the only update Hussie is going to make today are you serious?
Come on. He made the update at like... 1 AM just to appease the people staying up late to see Homestuck update on the day it said it would update. I'm sure we're going to get a Flash or at the very least some kind of cool dramatic happenstance later on in the day. Hell, Hussie is probably sleeping right now.

According to his Twitter, he hasn't finished the animation, but says he'll try to get it up today.
Since I've had time to cool down since then and stop freaking out over the intermission and all that junk, I guess I can finally say this.
Dead Godkat in the dream bubbles was just an alt timeline Karkat?
That is such bullshit.
Not for any particular reason other than the personal opinion that Karkat getting the tiger, then the axe, would have been totally awesome and sad and entertaining and useful for the plot, moreso then just tossing in a few thousand doomed selves to show off unseen God Tiers, but that's just me.
I mean.
Karkat dying heroically after finally getting the power to make a direct difference.
Tell me that would not be awesome sad.
And I mean, if it wasn't for all these doomed selves, we'd have a period where Karkat was a God, but before he died, and the ascension would be the most mixed reaction thing ever. Like, everybody who thought it was a doomed timeline because Karkat could not ascend would have to go "oh shit he might actually die no don't become a God Karkat don't do it!!!" while simultaneously going "fuck yeah Godkat." It would have been so sweet.
Here's to hoping that these 1000 doomed timelines actually do something more interesting then confuse Vriska-hungry John and revive a character in a cheapass manner (that doesn't really matter because it wasn't as emotionally gripping character as say, Vriska or Nepeta. And lacked pesterlogs so he doesn't count.), but I have a hard time imagining something as awesome as Karkat dying.
Dead Godkat in the dream bubbles was just an alt timeline Karkat?
That is such bullshit.
Are you sure the thing that is entirely impossible to happen not happening is bullshit? On account of, you know. The thoroughly established destruction of both his quest beds.
Are you sure the thing that is entirely impossible to happen not happening is bullshit? On account of, you know. The thoroughly established destruction of both his quest beds.
I mean
Are you REALLY sure?
Nothing is really impossible.
There's no plot hole that would be made by there being a third way to ascend, as long as it was impossible for Rose to use it. (Which is would be. Because the only possibilities to her, according to Scratch, is the one she knows of, and the one she'd actually use.)
If Hussie really wanted to God Tier Karkat at this point in the story, he'd find a way to do it. There's no real question about that.
Well guess what?
Andrew didn't want it then and as we haven't seen Karkat poof up a cape he hasn't wanted it since then!
So what, is it just the alt timeline god tiers pissing you off, the ones of those who were characters that are alive, or just the karkat one?
Because like, no one reading the story today would ever know that the God Tier karkat that appeared for a few seconds ever looked like he wasnt dead. He showed up for a few seconds and you are mad that he is not magically relevant to the real karkat.
You are silly.
She sleeps in tower ivory, she dreams in one of gold,
At once she is both young and dead and old.
She sees what is to happen, knows not what will unfold.
Fire took her dreams away, now emptiness rules sleep,
In bubbles ruled by creatures mad her sanity she keeps
And through the madness she becomes a wolf and not a sheep.
Now space is in her grasp, power great and vast
And on the golden inch she sails on ship of golden masts
To face a fiend of power cosmic, whose reign forever lasts.
How will this journey end, no one can be sure,
But however it will end, the universe she’ll cure.
John:
Zephyr his mount, sapphire his cape
The Heir arrives on wings of storm
Lightning his scepter, thunder his crown
The power of Breath the world does transform
Light on his feet, light in his heart
Greatness is his, his to perform
Potential endless, given by air
The power of Breath the world does transform
Joy rules him still, though darkness looms close
And sorrows and pain threaten to swarm
He rises above, the sky is his throne
The power of Breath the world does transform
Though kindness is his, cruelty cast aside
Threaten his kin, trouble their form
And prepare to reap a whirlwind of force
The power of Breath your hate will transform.
Rose:
At the tip of her wand seraphim dance
A ballet of strife with devils of chance.
Sable and Emerald duel for her mind;
If either prevails , her fate won’t be kind
At all times in control, except when she’s not.
Aberrations of dread foul feelers do send.
They whisper of treason, damnation and rot,
Of crimes she could never hope to amend.
She will not surrender, relinquish no sliver
Of her mind to the hunters that come from the void.
Fight them every step, she won’t falter or quiver;
She fights for herself, least she be destroyed.
With wizardry and light, the future she scouts,
The roll of the dice now her crystal ball,
And though what she sees may cause her some doubt
The Seer will never again be a thrall.
Furious Pariah, hard of shell
Herder of wolves, they bite at his ankles
Making his way through a hazy hell.
Hurried the midwife, doomed the born
Ruinous creator, tumorous doctor
He failed, for hatred now sworn.
In desolation lingers, never dares to hope
For he knows hope is a butcher
With his helplessness he cannot cope
Rage too betrayed him, bond asunder
Leaving a trail of corpses behind
The jester cares not if he goes under
Trapped in loathing, harried by temporal shades
Cursed by heretical plasma, hidden by shame
Jealousy grows, cultivated by sightless blades
Blindness sneers at him
Callousness will spare not a moment
His blood by loneliness made dim
Kanaya:
On sunny sands she walks, while others in darkness sleep.
Caring soul, ancestor to a generation that will never be born.
Care is met with cruelty, dealt by the spider’s sting,
Her love is repaid with indifference, pricks like the sharpest thorn.
Amphibian progeny she raises, watched by a warrior filled with pride
Haste her child will doom, the warrior demands it still, she obeys.
A universe is born only to die again.
Her love is repaid by stillbirth; her child will never see the light of day.
Fleeing from bladed death, her last hope has yet to hatch,
She shows compassion to a wounded soul, giving it a goal.
That hope is a devil in sheep’s skin, and burns all others.
Her love is repaid with treason, and in her heart a hole.
With vengeance she rises again, less and more than she was.
The devil is cleaved by a sword of teeth. It gives her no peace.
Now she searches for a space to call her own.
Her love is waiting for a balm that the pain will cease.

He fired and fired, left nothing but gore
He saved her life, she kissed him and smiled
Shot through the chest, while he choked on bile
He did what he could, it wasn’t his fault
He failed like always, her death couldn’t halt
Blackness unfolds him, no more red and blue
Duality vanished, the dying shouts are gone
Peace at last, a final dark dawn.
Tranquility in emptiness
Rest in the void
Clarity in blindness
Unity in death.

Also I am going to say it right here, right now, Karkat does not need to go God Tier to make a difference. He successfully corralled a bunch of misfit teens into beating the tar out of a giant monster.
He made plans that helped Jade and John get out of their session (with help yes).
Just because he can't go Super Saijin(i.e. went god tier or something) and can't use the kamehameha(i.e. has visibly used title powers like terezi and mind shit) doesn't mean that he is a useless, blubbering, emotional, unstable wreck(i.e eridan).
Also seriously, a few seconds. There are things in Homestuck that are bullshit! But... Andrew not killing off a main character after empowering him to godlike levels with an unheard of way isn't.
Well guess what?
Andrew didn't want it then and as we haven't seen Karkat poof up a cape he hasn't wanted it since then!
So what, is it just the alt timeline god tiers pissing you off, the ones of those who were characters that are alive, or just the karkat one?

Yes, yes it is.
But that's only because I really wanted to see Karkat ascend, then die. I was getting all excited and giddy about that idea. It sounded like a lot of fun.
Story's not going that way right now, but man it would have been cool.
So cool.
@Consp: God Tier Feferi and Eridan are sorta cool, I guess. The only problem with them was confirming Godkat's irrelevance. Otherwise they didn't fuck the story up at all or the themes and motifs that were already fucked up. They coo.
God Aranea seemed kinda cheesy and out of nowhere but seriously we're at the point where we assume that everybody is going to get God Tier at some point because it's so meaningless now. It's pointless NOT to get it.
Also I am going to say it right here, right now, Karkat does not need to go God Tier to make a difference. He successfully corralled a bunch of misfit teens into beating the tar out of a giant monster.

I don't mean it as "This is a bad plot twist and the story is bad because of it."
It's more "Man I really would have liked to see Karkat die." I don't even hate the guy, but hot damn would it have opened up a lot of possibilities that I was getting excited about. That would have been so cool.
I respect what he does, (sorta, he still had half the team die under him and the only one he really saved was the least interesting one) and like what he brings to the story, but man.
Him dying would have been so cool.
So fucking awesome.
But yeah I'm just mad that the plot didn't go the way I wanted it to. And I pretty much said before hand "If this is a doomed timeline Karkat, I am going to whine about it because that'd be such bullshit", and it's only bullshit because it's the least interesting possible explanation for it. (The others being "It's pre-scratch Sufferer" and "It's the real Karkat" of course.) Now it's all, okay there's a Godkat here dead, and that doesn't change anything! I got excited about it being sorta important, and all it does is give Karkat misgivings about the fate of paradox space and his own purpose. Which is nice, but not that big of a deal compared to him ascending, then dying. Which would have been cool

If Hussie really wanted to God Tier Karkat at this point in the story, he'd find a way to do it. There's no real question about that.
Let me put it in another way.
You had zero reason to expect that God Tier Karkat to be anything other than an alt timeline Karkat, based on the rules established in the story before you saw it.
You had every reason to think of him as just an alt timeline Karkat, and no reason to think of him as anything other than that, based on the rules established in the story before you saw it.
So it's silly to complain that something has been in keeping with the rules established in the story.
I understand complaints about events which break or re-write the rules.
But events which follow naturally should be the opposite of bullshit. They should be logical and expected. And this is an example of a logical, expected, non-bullshit occurrence.
Just let it go, Solaris.
It's not worth getting all worked up over.
Unless you're aware that debating with colwag is shall we say, a unique experience and can be enjoyable if you're a weirdo like me.
Indeed. Debating with colwag is an almost zen experience- you know there is nothing to be possibly achieved, yet you cannot help but continue. It is a maelstrom of pointlessness, but in its heart, peace can be found. It is, in a word, enlightening.

Firstly, I think that while god tier karkat might happen by some stroke of hussiemagic, I'm pretty sure it wount be by him turning into a First Guardian, which is after all what Godcat essentially is. That would imply that Bec was also someones god tier, which he wasn't. If karkat went god tier, it would't really make sense to do it now because he's still alive in his original state and there is no real reason for him to be god tier at this point. PM is keeping Jack occupied, and the batterwitch has her sights set on earth and the alphas for now, so unless someone on the meteor tries to kill his, there is no direct threat to his life like there was when everyone else ascended.
It's also been bugging me a lot how little we know about the alpha kids. In the beta session we knew a lot about the kids before they entered (except maybe jade, because she had fairly minimal involvement during the beginning). I can understand why more relationship stuff could be good and really help the character development, and that the alpha kids are older when they enter so naturally theres going to be more of that stuff, but relationship drama has been a lot more effective with the trolls and beta kids because we knew more about them and we saw how the relationship influenced them. Even though it's nice that hussie introduced the alphas a little more quickly, it sacrificed a lot of time that could have been used to help us understand the kids personalities. They still seem really one dimensional to me.
Another thing that annoys me (but i think some people were happy about) was that we didnt get a lot of information about the trolls session. We didnt really see how the game changed them or all that many complications or mistakes they made, except maybe for prototyping feferi's lusus. We got a lot less information about them and some of them ended up lacking the kind of depth that other trolls got. it would have been nice if we got some more time with characters other than Karkat, Vriska, Terezi, Kanaya, and to a lesser extent aradia and gamzee. I undersatand that they are more inflential to the story and game, but this meant that a lot of the other characters mainly served to show us how they reacted to different things, and cant stand on their own quite as well. this means that A lot of the personalities of the other six are mainly created by the fanbase, because we didn't get enough of them in canon for them to be as distinct. A lot fanstuff for a character like karkat is a little more realistic and faithful to the comic than a character like, say, eridan. Eridan stuff is really all over the map when it comes to his personality, but its usually not an entirely accurate representation of the real eridan, because we dont know who he is quite as much. The same thing happens to Equius a lot. While i get that there are time contraints in a medium like a webcomic, leaving the fans to fill in all the blanks doesnt really work all that well.
But events which follows naturally should be the opposite of bullshit. They should be logical and expected.
What if you expect the rules to be broken?
I do not have much respect for the rules of the story not being rewritten as needed, as it's happened plenty of times, and way too many times in ways I'm not a big fan of.
But there is reason to think of it as the main timeline Karkat. Mainly being "it's interesting" and "breaking this rule would not be total bullshit, considering how this rule has been manipulated before, said rule is pretty much meaningless anyways."
So my complaint is this plot twist meaning very little, and being dealt with in a way that I find boring and unsatisfying, personally. If you like it, by all means. It's not that big of a complaint anyways.
Then you're jumping the gun? You're jumping the gun. There isn't anything more to say about that. Yhe story not breaking its own established rules is not in any way bullshit. That's just not a reasonable complaint to make, no matter how small.
Then you're jumping the gun? You're jumping the gun. There isn't anything more to say about that. Yhe story not breaking its own established rules is not in any way bullshit. That's just not a reasonable complaint to make, no matter how small.
I will respectfully disagree with you here, only because the rules tend to be broken a lot around here, and the anticipation of rules being broken is part of what makes it exciting.
I mean, that'd be like seeing Kanaya's missing corpse and chainsaw related damages and other vampire-based foreshadowing and going "NO THIS CANNOT BE A REVIVAL OF ANY KIND, THAT BREAKS THE ESTABLISHED DEAD RULE."
Unless you mean complaining about that being bullshit is valid, because it DID go against established rules?
Or would it be more like Davesprite wasting his choice on fixing a sword, when he could have "fixed" anything, despite us not knowing what exactly it could have done? But that's more of a complaint against Davesprite being stupid, and not Hussie/the story.
But overall, no. I don't think this particular law of God Tiers is critical enough to the story as-is to not expect it to be alterted yet again. I'd bet even money on a new variation of God Tiering being used at some point in the story before it's over.
Or maybe I'm still buttmad about Dave and Rose's ascension that I expect all sorts of bullshit to come and give God Tiers away because ascending is already bullshit, and changing the rules yet again would do no damage to the already devastated act. Heck if I know.
@Nosti: Or exactly what he said that's the good, short way to say it.
