Something very low and very STRONG sounding, but also something refined (i.e. metal is a bad idea).

But, in all likelihood, because he doesn't appear until Hivebent, auditions for Equius will not happen for, at the very least, a year and a half. We first have to write the first installment of our huge three part musical, audition for that, record, produce, and write part two before we will be auditioning trolls who don't appear in acts 1-4.

I have a voice kind of between Soprano and Alto (I think that's Mezzo?) so maybe Jade.

Just anything that shows off your voice. Aim for brevity but give us enough to hear what your voice is like.

Auditions won't be for a while for anyone. Honestly if we get to auditions by, like, October, we'll be way ahead of schedule.

We don't even know what her singing is like except for a verse in one song because that's all that written. (and even that is a maybe)

Rose is not the only Alto left. All Altos are available, as well as all sopranos, tenors, and everyone else.
Almost all the songs need lyrics. This stuff is on the front page for convenient reference.

On the non-song and linking stuff together front, why dont we just quote directly from the comic for the intro? Something like this:

An instrumental (Homestuck Anthem?) plays to let audience know the show is starting. Curtains open to John in his room

Hussie (offstage): "A young man stands in his bedroom. It just so happens that today, the 13th of April, is this young man's birthday. Though it was thirteen years ago he was given life, it is only today he will be given a name! What will the name of this young man be?"

"Zoosmell Pooplord" appears on projector bar. A buzzer sounds and John cringes

Hussie: "Try again, smartass."

"John Egbert" appears on projector bar. A "Ding!" sound occurs and John smiles

Hussie: "Your name is John. As was previously mentioned it is your birthday. What will you do?"

John: (bursts into song)

Sorry I've been gone for so long guys. I skimmed the thread and updated the OP so it should be impossible to miss the bit about auditions. Sadly, other edits will still have to wait until early March, as I'm still bogged down with school and I've hardly even been home recently. >o<

Oh! I also have a few vocal thingies I'd like to share with you guys, if you wouldn't mind giving me a little review...they're sort of like pre-auditions, I suppose? Just a few short lines from a couple characters. They're the three most recent files on my Tindeck, although the Roxy one was a bit of a joke. XD
