    Agreed.

Irony levels would approach maximum overload.

The only other thing I can think of that would be more so would be disco.

    Myatesprit suggests Carmina Burana.
My tumblr where I reblog great fanart, stupid puns, and occasionally post art myself.

I will only use this song if someone dies in my video and there is a very likely chance that said person would be me. Keep that music coming people, I was thinking something new era, catchy, epic but NOT Requiem for a Dream (god help me if someone suggests that song). But as I said, keep the idee-er's flowing people.

    Then I say Nascent Requiem.

    That shit is godly.

Either that, or Tier 3 of Dancing Mad.

As a rather stark contrast, there's also So Cold from the Madworld OST.

    EDIT: Now with youtube links!

What's wrong with requiem for a dream? Also wonderful craftsmanship!

The third link is getting there. I really needed a song that links epic and Dave Strider together (while being relevant?). The only reason I won't use the FF songs is because they have already been associated (in my mind) with the FF games, which is something I don't want to one up. It is basically the same idea that I don't want to use songs like Cascade or Megalovania from the Homestuck soundtrack because they have already been associated with their respective visual aspects. So I guess there should be a rule that we should only choose songs that have not played a major role in a video aspect (artist made music videos don't count).

And there is nothing wrong with Requiem for a Dream...except for the fact that everyone has used it. In my opinion: great song, but overplayed to DEATH.

Fair enough, I can understand that reasoning.

I'll try and find something else.

EDIT:...Or not. It seems the only stuff I know well is OSTs. Of Final Fantasy.

God, that project sure is quite big. And awesome. Damn. Kudos to you.

Ever thought about using Two Steps from Hell? Their music really is quite distinctive, and they have various titles that I think would suit Dave. I could give you a few, if you want.

And yes I have heard of them, the person who is making my video suggested them as well. Haven't really gone through all their stuff, but from what I heard they're pretty good. If you link me with songs that really speak this project than send away.

'To Glory' is pretty epic, hum, 'Protectors of the Earth' too. I think To Glory is better, it doesn't have as much choir singing.

I like the protectors of the earth song. It might be TOO epic though lol. The first one sounds to me more suitable for a journey type scene in a movie. Still like em both, I'll add to my pile of songs I am considering.

Hmm...Archangel, then? Spirit of Champions? Their songs are quite suited for a heroic setting. The irony being that Dave doesn't consider himself a hero.

The best part about this forum is that you can actually find a serious discussion about what music a model time-traveling sword should play.

Unfortunately I do not have any reccomendations, though.

Noted all these songs. I really like the songs, but I really need something relevant to Dave...something electronic while still being hardcore (hence the DJ equipment and just being a cool dude). That and too bad I'm not going as God Tier Dave cause this would suit him perfectly. I was thinking something more like this <<my camera doesn't have the best audio quality, but these things can really punch it in real life.

Oooh, okay, yeah, I can find something like that. Give me a minute and I'll find you a couple songs.

Maybe this one? There's many songs from the Devil May Cry 3 OST that fits 'electronic and hardcore'.

Or Hurricane from 4 Strings. It's a bit more soft, closer to techno.

So I was about to suggest a Pendulum remix, and then I realized you used a Pendulum song in your example!

But yeah, the Voodoo People Pendulum Mix might do it for you?

    Verdicts
4 strings: too linear, I need something with a build up and a build up that sends shivers down your back
DMC3: I actually like this song, though I have never played the games. Is there a lot of association of this song with the game (ie would someone comment on the vid and be all like "durrrr this song is from DMC3 hurrrrrrrrrrrrr")

    Verdict
prodigy: Good song, pendulum's got that bass and drums down to an art. However, this song follows the same schematic as something like Slam where it's loud and linear for the rest of the song (after the intro of course). Why I liked witchcraft was because it has a huge build up at the beginning, a spine chilling main riff and it also has a drop off and come back halfway through the song. Not that this song doesn't, it just doesn't make me feel the same way. I only have one of Pendulum's albums with the exception of the single witchcraft, but if you can find something else equally epic please be my guest.

And I hope I don't make anyone feel like their taste in music is bad because I'm just looking for the perfect song for what I am showcasing. By that I mean it has to drive a certain emotion etc. etc. No hard feelings dawg and...errr... dawgettes.

Hmmm...yeah. Yeah, that song isn't popular, but I could see someone posting that.

Maybe the theme song from Musashi Samurai Legend. The game isn't that well known, and most people don't really give it attention. I can't find a link because I'm not on my computer, but it's easy to find it.

All I could find was gameplay and an intro song with a lot of sword clashing noises in it, in which I could not hear the actual song :\

I'll check back in tomorrow with an update + more music suggestions and etc.

Argh. Yeah, that's the one I was talking about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NI1S9ZiRmDg

And if it doesn't work, I'll have a few other suggestions. I really really want to see what you got for us tomorrow.

Hollow Life by Korn is 1) one of my all time favorite songs and 2)the lyrics make me think of Dave. I dunno if it's the sort of thing you're looking for, but I figured I might as well post it.

Also, Scrambled Eggman is good and fast for awesome swordplay action, but everyone knows what it is and what it's from, so you probably won't want that one... Hm. But that's all I've got.

The original version by the Surf Coasters is much better quality.

Re: Caledscratch - More than just a prop

Alright everyone, thanks for the music shares so far...still going through everything everyone sent me. This is going to be a tuff decision to make. Still got approximately a month so no worries right? Anyway here's this weeks update (really starting to haul ass, this thing MUST be at least 90% complete by next weekend). Also new camera

    Dat Angle

    http://imgur.com/O99zT

This thing is getting too big to be taken in one shot -.-"

    http://imgur.com/HH0Oo

    Got some support going

    http://imgur.com/bq2QV

De-soldering these things was not fun (amplifier circuit)

    http://imgur.com/NEGvW

New layouts (Let me know what you guys think, I can still move them other than the one side with the four knobs mounted at the top)

    http://imgur.com/IMthr

More f'n wires (Mixer mother board)

    http://imgur.com/TqwLd

So the question this week is the bolded stuff along with the epic music request. Keep sending them in and I will eventually listen to it. Shit just got realer-er.

My god...this is getting more and more amazing. Seriously. I didn't thought you would go as far as to add a motherboard for the mixer. I got more suggestions for music, too:

I didn't thought I was gonna go this far with this project either. When I started this sucker I thought it would take 2 months tops. Got more surprises up my sleeve too, so stick around. Will add the music to my tomorrows to do list. This thing is like 25 lbs. now just fyi
