    Personally? I can't wait.
Yeah, Hussie has hinted several times that he might branch out into other forms of media for his next project, and a video game is the next logical step after 4 mock-video game comics. I'd imagine it won't be PURELY gaming, however, and could be even more of a jumble of mediums than Homestuck. Not that that's a bad thing at all.

City of Riddlers: An MMO where everyone is the Riddler, and you basically just go around telling and solving riddles.

I try not to come up with too many ideas myself, I inadvertently go "AWESOME" and start a new project because it's cooler than the various unfinished projects I have. It wasn't that long ago that I had one for Zombie Super PACs and vomited the idea onto a forum stating that I hadn't the time or energy to really pursue the idea.

I'd like to try and finish up my procedurally generated RTS, but I've hit a road block and requested some help and have been waiting on the other person to finish the restructuring (and as it's free help...there's no timeline).

I've also got a (poorly coded) puzzle/dungeon crawler heavily inspired by Tower of Druaga that I'd like to finish, but I'm in a stage of perpetual level-building (i.e. asset creation) and have stalled.
Sounds really cool. I've noticed that you're a Flash developer. Adobe actually discontinued their game development part of Flash, so if you want to continue with it, I suggest you get some 3rd party libraries like Flixel or Box2D if you want to continue with Flash for a while. If not, Unity is a really big thing in the industry right now. Every time I go to an event, I hear people talking about it. "Hey Tucker, have you heard about Unity yet?" "Of course I have, who hasn't?" etc.

The Ruby scripting language is an up-and-coming thing too, so you might want to look at that.

Then again, if you're just a hobbyist, then you can do what you want. No one expects you to be up-to-date on everything, haha.

I know of both of those libraries (and Unity too ). Though I haven't really encountered a need for either yet. I messed with Box2D once, I forget why; something at work for an RFP involving physics.

The ProcGenRTS I'm more or less writing my own graphics manager (not that it "manages" anything yet). The coolest thing I've created for that game was a bitmap scalar (demo). It upcales the bitmaps by 2x and it gives the impression that the larger bitmap has more detail than the smaller (when scaled again, you can start to see the pattern of how that effect is achieved*).

I had it scaling a third time, but it broke, and as I had no need for the 4x version anyway, I didn't really care to find out why why the 8x broke. :P

*Which was entirely as a result of how it infers the pixels, based on known information, so the "detail" is a result of ambiguity in the irrelevant information (i.e. a pixel could be either black or colored, but it doesn't matter which).

An game based on Rhinoceros by Eugene Ioneso. Parody of the zombie genre, startling observation of social exclusion in game form.

I'd like a complete worldbuilder, sort of like Spore but for only one system, and you don't have any direct effect on life. You'd be able to change temprature and orbital range/periods, place and toss bodies at eachother, or zoom into a planet and maybe build a critter, but you wouldn't have any kind of direct effect on how they grow and evolve.

Re: Video Games You Wish Existed

Wait, I have the strange feeling I put this before, but a game based on the Mortal Engines series of books, building up from an inherited or somesuch small simple vessel with basic trade, hunting, scavenging etc facilities and being able to take/trade for/develop better ones of all that, adding floors, making more engines, designating the work labour types that you'd need mandated and the guilds/other systems set up to maintain it, if any at all. As well as the direct orders of what to do, obviously. The map would have seperate regions, with Europe being the main trade and battleground, China, Russia and all that being more peaceful and based around citizen conditions and such, North America being the dangerous nuclear wasteland where you can scavenge some sweet loot from that has capabilities far beyond any that can normally be researched, and South America being the place with the cool blood cultists with the arenas and shizzle. PvP area maybe?

I was thinking of an MMO, but that would only work if there was a way to prevent the cool 60 minute war tech from being flooded into the market by high-level players before new players can discover it. Possibly by limiting the absolute amount available at any one time, say, 100 of each (or whatever would be reasonably scarce, compared to the playerbase. No more than 1 in 500 players should be around for any of them though). A level cap (or levels in general) would be something I wouldn't like, everything should be limited just by structural limits, so you couldn't mount huge crushy jaws on a tiny scavenger ship because the frame wouldn't be big or strong enough. Not that you would because the material processing plants wouldn't be big enough to process a 'kill' that big in a reasonable time anyway. That way a player doesn't get lucky and find a powerful but old engine thrown away by a bigger city and discard it themselves because they're not high level enough, instead they work on repairing it and modifying the city to accommodate an engine of that size.

Also with a mode where you play as a single person, who could be a passenger on a city or a foot traveler. Could be a mercenary or a trader or something like that. It should also have transitions between the single player and city-commanding mode pretty smoothly, aiming to be like Hazeron, so city commanding for any vehicle and also traveling on foot straight out of commanding a vehicle, if you wish.

The different kinds of cities like flying mobile cities and flying stationary ports would be great, and floating cities too. Land cities on their own would be pretty sizable on their own though.

Really the most important thing is that its varied enough that basically a load of fast engines and efficient processing plants on tracks could scavenge efficiently enough to be on the scoreboards in competition with the big mean hunter.

The funny part is it's a bot. A specific type of bot that makes seemingly relevant points in the post but advertises in the signature.

I didn't say it was mission accomplished now, I was saying that it's becoming relevant.

One set of games I'd like to see a sequel of is that of Black and White. There were 2 main games and 2 additional add-ons, you got to play as a god and conquer of pacify the land with the assistance of your giant animal (Turtle, wolf, tiger and lion to name a few).

I never finished the original, sadly. The "fireballs from the sky" mission was a fucking nightmare.

"From Dust" Seems like a spiritual successor, but honestly, none of them really produce the god feel for me.

My favorite "God" game is minecraft, Creative mode, with Clay Soldiers mod. You can Simcity the SHIT out of those buggers.
