Not to worry. I'll crack down on this and get it done. (not like I have a choice now). Just had to deal with a boatload of personal issues, but they're out of the way for the most part.

SAFARI JOE: "Welcome to the battlefield! Here is the hub for your battles with enemies. In traditional fashion, our benevolent monarch has made it turn based. Allow me to explain the screen to you."

SAFARI JOE: "In yellow, you will see the name of the heroes, and their appropriate health, marked in purple. Statuses appear to the right of heroes, after their health. The enemies are to the right. If there are more than one of the same enemy, they will be marked with numbers, if generic. Now. Upon your turn, you, the heroes, submit a command. Commands can be to attack, use special abilities, magic, or make an attempt to flee. For this first example, we shall make a basic attack with my cane. Now, when you submit an attack or special ability, you must specify a target. Some abilities or magics can affect more than one. If so, specify those too. For now, we'll attack dummy one. HAVE AT YE!"

DUMMY 1: "OOF."

SAFARI JOE: "You notice his health changed after my turn ended. Once all heroes have attacked, it's their turn to strike back."
DUMMY 1 attempts to attack SAFARI JOE with MILD BOTHER!

SAFARI JOE: "Hup!"
DUMMY 2 uses BLATANT INSULT on SAFARI JOE.
DUMMY 2: "THOU ART A BOGGARD AND A KNACKARD."
SAFARI JOE: "Gah!"

SAFARI JOE: "Now, you may have noticed I took no damage from 1's attack. If your AGILITY is high enough compared to the enemies, you can DODGE attacks. If your STRENGTH is high enough, you can BLOCK. These methods can severely reduce or negate all damage that would be done to you. This is of course, purely chance, and might not happen often if the enemy is strong enough. Notice the status next to me. The INSULTED status reduces accuracy, giving the enemy a larger change to DODGE. These gents are quite tough. Let's try a special attack. Special attacks are not listed, because our creator does not wish to keep a large list. He's leaving this strictly to the honor code, so try not to cheat!"
SAFARI JOE uses ADVENTURETECH: LION'S ROAR on DUMMY 1 and DUMMY 2!

SAFARI JOE: "Take this, you ruffians!"
DUMMY 1 and DUMMY 2 have been SLAIN.
SAFARI JOE: "in case you haven't figured this out already, damage is calculated in-picture, so you can see how powerful your strikes are. You can also attempt to hit a specific location upon a foe, though this does decrease your accuracy a bit. But look, we've won!"

SAFARI JOE: "Experience helps you gain more power, and more SPECIAL TECHNIQUES. If you find items to put in your personal hammerspace (which also isn't being monitored), they'll be on the right. And that's it really! Gods also gain a turn during the HEROES turn to perform MIRACLES. MIRACLES and SPECIAL ABILITIES drain stamina, which can lead to poor dodging, blocking, and even FAILURE to execute techniques. I hope this tutorial helps you in your fight, gods and chosen. For now, I must be off to adventure further. Farewell!"

You know, just a heads up, I checked my watch due to the lateness of so many critical characters, and oh my goodness is it murder-o-clock already? Gosh, I sure hope people have been participating, lest the reaper hit them.

You guys are nearly there on the smiting. I'll list what you've got so far:

T.I.M.'s covering the sphere of FIRE, suitably, with FIRE.
Saint's sporting the ENERGY sphere with his ETHERAL/SPIRIT.
Adept's rocking EARTH with his INVENTORY.
Tavrosh has DARKNESS with his GOD AWFUL IDEAS.
And Fengar's bringing the WATER sphere into play with his ICE.

That leaves LIGHT. Just one god to cover the sphere of light, and you guys are all set to smite. How interesting!
