I just love seeing all these suggestions, but it really is hard to just ignore so many. I've been trying to include worthwhile suggestions in the text of updates, but it's obviously not efficient to get everyone in. Also, I feel guilty about the amount of updates today, but I deserve it for finishing all of my real world work.

That's preposterous! Obviously it won't work!

You'd need to light some candles to activate it, and you don't see any around.

Of course, you didn't see the summoning circle before either. You guess that, for whatever reason, you're slowly recognizing aspects of the room. Maybe some candles will show up if you wait around long enough.

Tuesdays and Thursdays are my busy days, so I probably will keep to one update (or a couple of small, low-effort updates) on these days.

Also, I'm experimenting with flash, to see how intuitive it is. I assume it will be difficult, but I thought that about regular illustrations, and I was wrong. I thought that about gifs, and I was wrong again. I hope I'm wrong a third time, because I have some GREAT ideas for flashes (although most of them take place much later in the story.)

Final note--I'm going to try making the story move a little faster. It's not moving at the pace I'd planned originally, although I did change the story quite a bit. This does not mean I'm not still taking suggestions, since that's kind of the point of forum adventures. So keep those suggestions coming! I was actually glad for the chance to reboot from the original format, because some things I had planned for later made their way back around to the past. Shh... Spoilers!

Oh damn it! You've heard about this sort of thing happening to people when they get really into their dreams, but it's never happened to you before (probably because your dreams used to be so boring.)

You were woken by your mother knocking on your door. She tells you it's time for dinner. You say that she woke you from a nice dream, and she apologizes. You say you're going to skip dinner, because you'd like to try to get back to sleep. You're really tired, you say.

She says that's fine, then walks away.
