Yes, there's a reason I have this image as my avatar. It shows how even Hussie's simple style can become so powerful, especially with his masterful control of color. And yeah, I too read GC through in a day last Friday.
Anyway, >Now that you're done contemplating awesome things, those things in the dresser sure do seem interesting. Like that black and white picture of the house. Perhaps that could be the location for your imaginary story?
Also, perhaps you should check that diary for...great story ideas. Yes. What else would you be looking in a diary for? Certainly not looking if the boring people are just hiding exciting lives...
Gwen: Expound upon this conception that you have for a work of sheer literary genius.
Oh, it's nothing, really. Maybe if you ever get around to making that webcomic, you'll throw in an arc reminiscent of Lewis Carroll's "Through the Looking-Glass."

Right now, though, you've got some privacy to invade.
Gwen and her mother finally arrived today. It has been so long since I last saw her, and although her mother and I still communicate daily with regards to our work, it has been several weeks since we actually met in person. Elliott has voiced concerns that she may be losing interest in the project, but I know that is simply not the case. She couldn't possibly give up now, when we are so close to completion. She knows the stakes well: she was the one who got us involved in the first place.
I suppose I should try to spend some time with Gwen, although she still doesn't enjoy my or Elliott's company. Once she departs, I don't know when or if we shall see her again. I trust she will find her own way to return to us though. She's a clever girl, that cannot be denied, but she does have a tendency to act impulsively. I know she will do just fine though.
Oh, Elliott's giving me that look again. I don't know how he still looks so hungry for me after all this time. It's just as well; I still feel the same lust for him as I did the days when our romance was still blossoming. I must now close the book on another eventful day, and be grateful that our guests are on another floor.

...Ew. Actually, you don't really think it's that icky. You think it's kind of sweet that they're still so attracted to each other. But those voices in your head must be appeased by the extended tongue of disgust.
> Project?
Yeah, you have no clue what that's all about. You were not aware your mother was working with the Glasswrights at all. And did she mention not seeing her in weeks? The last time you were here was years ago. Your mother has never disappeared for an extended period of time (at least not that you can remember). One or two days at most, and she always tells you when and where she's going. You suppose she could be lying about her destinations, but she doesn't leave very often, and there haven't been any absences within the past few months.
That just makes no sense. First of all, why would you want to destroy the property of your hosts, and second, even if you wanted to, how could you cut anything with lipstick? It's makeup. You put it on your face.

Like this.

What the fucking shit!?

Hmm... It looks like that freakish lip-saw turned your blood purple temporarily. Weird. But nowhere near as weird as the fact that you just experienced a piece of makeup changing into a power tool.
Well, you can't put it in your strife deck, because your specibus has already been permanently allocated to Fistkind, not makeupkind. Or sawkind, you guess? And you don't have any spare specibi lying around.
> Maybe this has something to do with the "project"? Pocket the evidence.
Hmm... Maybe. You guess the "project" could have something to do with innocuous items doubling as weapons in case of emergency. Maybe your mom's a spy!
In any case, you'll just hang on to this for now. You're sure the Glasswrights won't miss it.
The best way to make up for tardiness? Lengthy pesterlogs! Much easier than making lots of art.
