A journey to the frontiers of the Alternian colony places 14 trolls, most strangers to one another, in a new starship. When an accident pits them into contact with a strange, and potentially fatal disease, who will survive?
When exactly does the RP start?
We'll start with HIC Ios literally just slowing down after taking off and jumping into hyperspace, hours after boarding. This should mean that your troll hasn't, in all probability, settled down fully yet to life aboard Ios. But they could have already moved about and done stuff in those few hours of flight.
The first post you make is exempt from the 300-word rule.
Rules
A player is only allowed one character, unless special circumstances occur.
There is a word limit of only 300 words per post*. The player may petition for a longer limit, but this does not mean that the petition will be granted.
*If enough people feel this is too restrictive, I'll up the limit. If two or more people collaborated on the post, you can post in 600-word chunks, though the total collab fic itself may exceed that limit.
.
Be active. If 35 posts have already elapsed since your last contribution, you will get a warning. In addition, tell me in advance if you will be gone for more than one week.
Refrain from using OOC knowledge in the RP. Always be aware of what your character should know.
Do not intentionally initiate interpersonal conflict, especially if these are motivated by hate. I will be there to sort things out if needed.
No god-moding.
Breaking these rules will net you at least one poke. Three pokes and you are booted. Pokes will be given with justice and I will always notify players if they are in danger of breaking a rule.

Re: VIRAL: The RP (Now recruiting. Only 14 slots left.)
This looks interesting. Should I make a brand new character or submit an aged-up version of one of my existing trolls to die to this horrible disease combat this infection? Any preference?
Hmm... Most of my current characters are highbloods, and it looks like most of the applicants are as well. I might just end up making a midblood or lowblood.

Dave and Rose only had one life left. They’d both been killed by Jack, and then revived as their dream selves. They only had the other means of reaching god tier, which we knew little about. We only had Aradia’s example to speculate from.
Option 2:
It turns out, the other way involves another set of quest beds in the core of the moons of Prospit and Derse. Reaching god tier involves using the only life you have left, and dying on that quest bed. Then, rather than waking up as a god tier on the Battlefield, the dead body simply resurrects automatically, transforming then and there. This is the basic outline of the process, with some caveats from examples we’ve observed.
LT: and if you helped me with the ab sprite i would love you forever......
AR: Ha.
AR: Your love would be wasted on me.
LT: sob
LT: our love was not meant to be......
AR: Alas, it was not.
AR: For I am a robot without a soul.
LT: shocking twist!!!!
LT: shhh i will teach you how to love
AR: ...This worries me.
LT: don't worry, just let it happen
[10:26:18 AM] PD : ... why is salom made for adorableness
[10:26:41 AM] Whosit: Because it hurts more when horrible things happen to him, PD.
[10:27:20 AM] PD : ... pfff omg yes, whosit
[10:28:05 AM] Whosit: PD... do you want to hurt Salom?
[10:28:17 AM] PD : ... i kind of do for some reason, whosit

For sending in sprites, should our troll's iris be filled in with their blood color or not?
I'm not sure what age that happens at...

Nah, this isn't really required (the sprite) so no need to worry too hard about it. Though you've certainly raised a good point. I'll assume for now that yes, troll eyes get filled in with their blood color at this age.
On a random note, don't get discouraged if you see that 14 or more people have already indicated interest! Some of them may not have submitted their profile. And this isn't exactly a first-come-first-served thing (see opening post, which now has info on soft deadlines) since it'll be evaluated as a batch.

Okay, cool. What about 8-letter titles. Do our trolls have them yet or are we using our 6/6 names in this RP?

Re: VIRAL: The RP (Now recruiting. Only 14 slots left.) Soft deadline: Jan. 24
Someone asked a question relating to ship crew roles.
I've thought about it, and, the short of it is: there won't be formal titles, in the sense that someone will have to be a 'ship doctor', 'ship mechanic', or 'ship pilot'. Your troll may have had training in these, and it is up to you to write that in their profile or not, but it will not result in a formal title or crew position.
