Just chipping in to say that honestly I don't mind which character I voice, if any, so seriously, ladies who want to audition, audition for Annie or Kat, whichever you prefer. Or audition for both! I don't consider myself set in stone at all in my role and I'm just going with the flow here.

My friend did an audition for Annie which I personally think matches Kat slightly better. And not just because her name is pretty much Kat.

Yes, that is my audition that Inconspicularity convinced me to record. I have ZERO voice acting experience and frankly, I did it on a whim. I don't know if there's any potential there, but I at least tried.

Hmm, with a little practice I could see that being a good Kat voice! I wouldn't want to switch you in to Annie right now, if only because the total accent switch would be pretty jarring. fA is still willing to do Annie if necessary, so can I hear an audition for Kat?

Haha, sure. I had a feeling when you said 'if we can find somebody who doesn't sound too different' that I'd end up playing Annie again. My voice for better or worse is very distinctive. I'm totally cool with staying being Annie.

And as for Basil I think Nick should try a Brooklyn accent on him, since he's a big ol' palooka type guy. That's what I was gonna try out with, but Nicky's the go-to New Yorker in my book.

Also, just to plan ahead a bit for Reynard, his name is French and he's based on French folklore, so would he have a French accent? Because in-story he's Coyote's cousin and also came from the forest, so he could also just be...whatever the guys in the forest are. what do you guys think about Reynard's voice?

And yes, I imagine Reynard with a French accent. He originates from French/Dutch/German legend, as does Ysegrin. Coyote originates from the American Southwest.

And regarding this episode, Anya's country of origin has never been explicitly stated, but I assume she's from somewhere in Eastern Europe.

Her family is originally from Spain but they moved around a lot. She didn't spend much time there.

“Originally” being rather flexible, since Tom has stated elsewhere that she is of Romani descent (might account for the moving around a lot, though that then raises odd questions about utterances that seem to be Slavicisms—whether we ought to worry about the iron curtain and other historical Serious Business). In other words, Anja’s accent might literally be all over the map, made all that much tougher by it not being that thick in the present (ever hear a well-acclimated accent? It’s a strange mix of getting everything right and then fumbling over phonemes the speaker will never quite be able to do—I still get to hear my mother do this on a regular basis).

The myth of Reynard is continental in origin, but the name and ballad of Reynardine itself most likely cropped up in England and/or Ireland.

I think those forest canids sound more like animals than accented, but that’s just me

Um, you guys realise I'm from the north and if I just talk normally instead of poshing up my voice, I'll sound very close to that right? So if we actually do another episode it's hardly an issue.

Oh yeah, this project is stalled out due to lack of voice actors. If I get people for every role I'd be glad to do the next chapter!

I'd like to participate in this, though it seems that a lot of male roles have been taken already and that you need more female voice actors.

Actually, you only need female voice actors at this point, but I'll be happy to audition for following chapters! I may be able to do Reynardine since he supposedly appears in Dutch myths (someone said that here I think?) and I'm Dutch too.
