Oh man, bravo! Great stuff!

If I may make a small suggestion: although the voicing was perfect, there were times when the narration and Annie's dialog didn't have enough distance between them and blended into one another. Whoever ends up playing Annie in the future, perhaps you could try to make Narrator!Annie sound a bit different than story!Annie maybe a bit older, a bit lower in pitch or something along those lines?

Also, agh, that needs some serious noise reduction. I couldn't hear that background noise on my file because it was quieter. That's awful >_<

It comes out very strongly for me because I use headphones. I'll have to noise reduce my files. I know this is just a 'for fun' project, but I'm used to working on 'Let's Read Homestuck' where we're pretty 'Serious Business' about this stuff!

Here's an audition for the teacher and Basil. I tried to do Winsbury but I can't sound eleven even without affecting an English accent.


Also, may I add that I really enjoyed the first episode. The voice acting was great (those guys are my friends, but I'm not ass-kissing; fantastic work), but what really struck me was the editing. Unlike the anomalously paced Homestuck, doing a let's read for a traditional comic in video can be pretty tough, if nothing else just from a pacing standpoint. This was very good though, and I look forward to seeing how well you handle the more dramatic and/or funnier, and therefore more challenging, chapters.

Presumably he'd be Greek, but I can't do (or identify) that accent. If you want somebody else do it I'll abdicate the position.

Great that was awesome! I don't think making the narrator sound different will be all that important since it pretty much drops out later (pretty soon too, I don't think it was around for long). Sound effects were great, actually I think the best moments had sound effects in them.

Actually, if I could make a suggestion, it might be a good idea to mix some music in there too. Unobtrusive, eerie music, of course, nothing major. But it almost sounded a bit too quiet and not really in an atmospheric way. I'll have to think if I know of anything that might work, but I'm not sure.

Still whether you do or don't this is awesome so far and I look forward to the next one. Annie sounds exactly like I imagine her in my head and robot was funny.

Here's an audition for Kat. I'll understand if people think I make a better Annie. Kat is my favourite character, but my voice may be a little on the soft side to play somebody so perky and tomboyish. Still, here's a sample. I'm still perfectly happy to stay on as Annie if that role needs me more than this one.

Hmm, you can't do both since that would be a lot of work and people would probably be able to tell. Since you'd rather do Kat, that's what you'll do! We just need to find another Annie, hopefully one that doesn't sound jarringly different from your last one.

Oh yes, most excellent! I saw this through tumblr as well. I may audition too, eventually. The Gunnerkrigg forums tried to do something like this, and there were lots of auditions and set up, but it never got off the ground. I enjoyed Chapter 1, the sound effects were great! I'm definitely keeping an eye on this, it's the reason I joined up this forum.
