On a more logistical topic before the actual update:
All the new players have been added. Kieros, I added you to the queue as usual, but if you haven't changed your mind about playing by the time it gets around to your turn you are free to decline to play. There just isn't really a provision for it! XD
David is correct about the second sphere being used for a 4, not a 0. Of course, if the second sphere after a 4 is a 0, then that's effectively a perfect selection. Incidentally, you may wish to ensure that you all give a second sphere when you pick, else I'll probably randomise the second pick to keep the game running quickly.
Also note that MathGirl requested to replace a specific NPC, so just for this game she's got a specific place outside of the regular rotation. She'll be in her proper position for Game II, just to alleviate any confusion.

Now then...
Knaelidos, you've got a reasonable target. A victory would of course be excellent, but bad targets are never fun to resolve so avoid the 3 if you can! But to get money in the blue sector, it's time to open your sphere.

That's what we want! The 4's a guaranteed win, bringing blue up to $600!

However, the unbeatable target cannot be taken to the next round, and must be nerfed. That is to say, Knaelidos may have been foreshadowing that he would need the second pick as he was indeed the first to find a 4! So let's open up another sphere to find out what our new target is going to be...

Well you can't win all of them, but at least the target's looking nice again now!

However, as we lost with a 1, we must open and remove a single golden sphere. We didn't have to worry about this with our last loss due to it being a 0, but this sphere will shift the chances of winning each payout in the Golden Finale, potentially changing our strategy as well.

We'll open this sphere (but if you have a preference for which ones to open in future we will honour that), and it is...



Green. Not too bad, I suppose. We've lost the $100k on green, but reduced the odds of winning it as well.

This is quite the see-saw, actually, we've gone from a 1 to a 3 to a 1 and now to a 3 again. If this continues it'll be quite the game, to say the least.

The good news is that the $500k is still in play, which is what we're playing for, right? The bad news, however, is that we're back up to a 3. It does have to go somewhere, but where?

That was a bit of a risk, using a 1, it was fortunate this time, but, this shouldn't be done again. Using a 1 instead of a 0 DOUBLES you're chance of a loss on that turn.
Also I did a game with myself, I ended up with a very wonky distribution, I had a 25th percentile of $200 a median of $3,100, a 75 percentile of $40,000 and a average of over $83,000!
I had 7 red 200's 4 green 40,000s a blue 6,000 and 2 blue 500,000s. I got a red. 2 of my 14 spheres had over 85% while 7 of them had under 0.1%. Yeah... it was pretty interesting. Ended with a 1/7 of $500,000.
