> Mr. Cal: Back to school! Tell us when the heck class starts.
Well, judging by your trusty WATCH, you'd say there's about eight minutes left until the lesson. But we know what? There's almost no reason to keep teaching these kids. Not that you're a bad teacher or anything. You just already taught them the entire curriculum. They literally learned everything they were required to know in the first semester! Occasionally you give them easy pop quizzes on the learned material, too. Good kids. They always ace them.
What? Mr. Cal, a bad teacher? Well, if you were that bad you'd have been fired already. To wit, you've been the teacher of this particular clan of kids ever since they first entered middle school, and they've consistently made high marks! Plus, they all love you as a teacher. There is no reason for you to change your teaching methods. (Well, except maybe the fact that their "know-it-all" status gets them a few bullies, but you blame that on them other BAD KIDS, not your own, precious GOOD KIDS or GOOD TEACHING.)
Today's lesson, which you will give to the children just so you can keep Doctor Scratch out of your nonexistant hair with his worrying and what-have-we, is going to be about former President GEORGE WASHINGTON and his LASTING EFFECTS on the UNITED STATES ECONOMY.
> Mr. Cal: What about the "good kids" currently playing hooky?
Ah! So it is. Four of your PUPILS appear to be ABSENT.
> Mr. Cal: Speculate.
They shouldn't be out for too much longer. After all, none of them would want a time-out now, would they?
Nepeta is obviously out playing at the CHUCK E. CHEESE'S ARCADE, possibly locked in a heated battle with COURTYARD, or maybe that shiny CAPTOR guy, or even Sollux Hussie. Come to think of it, why didn't Sollux enter with his beloved sister Aradia? You'll correct yourself. He'd only leave her for important business, such as dealing with his BRO OF HIGH STATUS. Sounds more likely. Equius is...um...playing with robots or something? It's hard to tell. Yuu know nothing of his interests, other than maybe Einstein. He was always a loner, but you never thought of him as the type to skip class. And if you know Gamzee - which you do - he probably got lost in one of them maine-guh books or annie-maes. Maybe he's watching SCOTT PILGRUMM AND THE WORLD.
kids, the clock's ticking!
========>
Wait...now that the topic of kids has been raised, there's one thing you're worried about. Maybe Gamzee's not even in the state! That would promptly explain his absence.
But what we, the viewers, are probably especially curious about is the whereabouts of Gamzee. Because we've hardly seen anything out of that boy! Is he dead or something?!
We all wonder what happened to Gamzee.
Yeah. You wonder...
[S]> Mr. Cal: You wonder what happened to Gamzee.
