It sucked me back into teenagerhood like nothing else. Which since this is a song about freedom of solitude, music, and cruising in your car felt just fucking perfect to me.

These are pretty much completely arbitrary, you know that, right?

This is the song equivalent of gently pulling you into a warm hug and then walking you home.

Aeroplane noises! 60’s surf music! Telestar-type groove! Counting in Spanish!

Aha. This is a song about that kind of friend.

Everything has conspired to keep me from commenting on this album.. First, I overlook the fact that my credit card expired at almost exactly the same time the album came out, so I had to find my new card to pay for it. Then I had some trouble loading the music onto my phone. Then I listened to the whole thing and wrote a running commentary, but my connection died as I tried to post, so I lost everything.

I'll summarize my thoughts by saying that I enjoyed the music, but. Bowman's stuff tends to get better on multiple hearings (because, you know, it has words), so I cannot yet compare it to MT&HK. Still, it was definitely good, and I really liked how the first three notes of the album practically chant the album's name, so when the music loops from the last track to the first, the thematic longing for home is answered by the melody in a feat of bookending entirely appropriate for the subject matter.

Some of the songs sounded like Paul McCartney music, but less sugary. The singer sounds as if he is feeling something and then singing about it, whereas Paul (unlike John) usually just sounded like he was singing about a feeling he wasn't having.

Good album. I'm happy to pay a bit to support an artist whose organization isn't doing anything political that I find objectionable, but this isn't the SOPA thread, so I'll leave it at that. I'm just as happy to support an artist whose main goal is to create something good, not just to make money by following the suggestions of some focus group.

As I type this I'm just finishing up listening to the third song on the album. So far, I really like it! Come With Me is especially nice.

Almost forgot I meant to come on and give better thoughts than I did last night XD I don't think I can actually go into a song-by-song type of thing(mostly because I've listened to them all so much I don't have my initial opinions as much) but the whole album is awesome. I keep getting several songs(Old Buggy Now, Come With Me, and Rodeo Clown come to mind right away) stuck in my head because they're so catchy, and keep idly picking a random song and turning it on when they come to mind. Major props to Bowman for putting together such a great album, and such catchy and all around good lyrics, and to everyone else who contributed for their work C: Definitely good to see it up there on bandcamp, and glad I bought it before I had listened!
