I created a -second- version of sburbmaker which spits out a text file filled with random ascii characters, between 0 and 255.

So normally, when it was in 1s and 0s, it had 35,476,429,864 digits. How many digits would I need for in Base 256?

256 = 2^8, so 1/8 as many digits.

okay got sburbmaker 2 up and running. Still taking ridiculously long, but waaaay faster. But that's to be expected.
If anyone wants I can give it to them, but there's one problem I have to fix and I think it's impossible to do so: it always adds a single space after every character written to the text file. One could simply do a find+replace, but that will also get rid of all the legitimate spaces randomly picked by the program. So someone would need to make it delete every second character.

I always assumed the imperial drones were purely mechanical from the getgo anyway. Makes it easier to arm them to the teeth with guns and rockets and lasers and high explosives and whatever shit's necessary to cull anyone without opposition.
