What are the popular ships that they could even annoy shippers by sinking? I mean, I know the fandom ships everypony with everypony, but are there really any individual ships that are popular enough that they writers could actually bother people by subverting them?

The Derpy one is most likely a fan nod, but we saw a second BonBon with someone else, so odds are that one's a coincidence.
