There is a pony poker circuit, and even for recreation, but Rarity plays it.
Twilight dabbles in it and has yet to lose.

Unrelated Matter: I just re-watched the Mare-Do-Well episode, and I noticed that the ponies who played Mare-Do-Well were a bit hypocritical. They ALL bragged about their achievements as Mare-Do-Well, just not while they were in costume.

Yes, but only to RD. They were trying to prove their point. They weren't standing in the middle of town singing her/their awesomeness.

Yeah, it wasn't the best of episodes. All of the characters took a collective step backwards in personality to serve the plot, which was a bit contrived. I'll forgive the writer her mistakes, though, because it was her first one. As long as her episodes won't continue to suck, I personally will be fine.
