Ah, does anybody know where it is we see that Prospitians and Dersites are all clones, or is that just extremely well-established fanon?
I recall seeing something to that nature in the comic, but I can't find it now.
you can see carapace people suspended in tubes in "past karkat: wake up" and "equius: seek the highb100d"CG: YEAH, THE VEIL IS KIND OF LIKE NEUTRAL GROUND FOR THE KINGDOMS, LIKE OUR PLANETS.
CG: SOME PLACES ARE USED TO GENETICALLY ENGINEER SOLDIERS AND AGENTS FOR THE TWO SIDES.
CG: USING GENETIC MATERIAL FROM THE EXOTIC MENAGERIE OF CHESS PIECES ON THE BATTLEFIELD.
CG: TO HELP FUEL THE WAR AND KEEP RAISING THE STAKES
Why didn't Davesprite and Aradiasprite take on god-tier forms like Jadesprite did? Like, why did the normal bodies level up instead of the sprites? Does it have to do with Jade's powers she got from Bec?
Basically, the God-Tier stuff is a function of Dreamselves. Jade's Dreamself was also her Sprite, so her spritely aspects were involved in the upgrade. Davesprite was made from a doomed-timeline Dave, and Aradiabot was made from a ghost of Aradia, so no Dreamselves were involved.
When a player goes god-tier they merge with their dreamself, as was the case with John and Vriska (visible in both their ascensions).
When Jade went god-tier, she merged with Jadesprite (formerly dream-Jade), rather than simply empowered her. The new Jade is both of them at the same time.
The Dave in Davesprite isn't a dream-self, so he didn't merge with Dave the same way.
Aradiasprite did go on to become part of God-Tier Aradia, being her waking soul. That's why the robot exploded; she was suddenly removed from it.
Ah. Gotcha. That makes sense. Thanks!
I was seriously wondering why there wasn't a frog-tier Aradia, and now I know.
everybody with a barcode is cloned, according to word o' god
( so yeah the exiles were grown in tubes )
There's a bit of a distinction here, though. Here's a separate Simple Question: have we seen barcodes on the Queens and Kings? It's just that, given the nature of the Battlefield, it seems probable the Kings at least are not so much cloned as spat into existence with the start of the game, or possibly the start of the universe. The distinction is minor but I've become curious, and the barcodes would be a fair sign in one direction or another.
My Fanfiction:
A Hand in Holding Hands, Аn Аshen Fanfic - Completed, several chapters of content and the rest of commentary.
We have not seen barcodes on them, and we've had some good shots of WQ.
Why does WV find green so delicious? I forget.
He was a farmer who grow plants. Which are traditionally green.
We don't know for sure, but it is very likely.
It's implied but not stated in-comic. Andrew did give a joke answer on formspring that he died on his quest bed and ascended as the Gent of Piss.
How is Auspistice a romance
ASKER: Do you identify with any of the trolls?
ANDREW HUSSIE: Gamzee but only cause he killed a bunch of them.

Forced platonic love. This is the best description I could muster.
In other words, a meddlesome troll that prevents a caliginous romance, either for their own reasons, either to avoid uncontrolled black romance and infidelity. It is possible that this relationship has a tendency of being temporary and interchange with other quadrants, lasting until the two trolls set into Kismesis or lose interest in each other. It is also possible that the nosy troll is necessary for a long period if the rivalry is too dangerous.
The best example we have is Kanaya. She had flushed feelings for Vriska, tried to keep a Moirail, but previously acted as a mediator for Vriska and Eridan. Troll romance is hard and no one understands.
Auspisticing as a sustained relationship always seemed weird to me. Like the stated goal of preventing a kismetic relationship is understandable, but it seems odd for a Troll with filled quadrants to have a... lesser? secondary? relationship that is not *quite* a kismesis.
err, not that the romantic logistics of fictional grey space assholes really matters

Odd, sorta Meta question. Obvious answer really, but, want a second opinion.
During the Doc Scratch segment of Act 5, when everythings green with black boxes, why is it that every single character who talked or typed had the same color as they did in the rest of the story, except Gamzee? His chat color during the [o] segment was lighter purple then his usual indigo.
The only thing I could figure is readability, but, I opened the page in paint and checked, and it was still quite readable if you changed it back to his regular indigo. And both his past (talking to Tavros), and present (talking to Dave), incarnations used this lighter color.
Was it just readability, or a mistake, or what? Am I just reading too much into it?
