After some careful deliberation, you decide to smoke the creatures out. You see if anyone in your group is capable of causing sick fires. Sure enough, one of them, an orangeblood with large, bullish horns, is up to the task. You pile a bunch of mossy rocks at one of the holes, and the orangeblood setts them on fire and rolls them into the holes. The creatures start scurrying out of the holes, several holding smaller creatures on their back. Unfortunately for them, it made them easy targets for your hunting party. You and your team eat your fill on one side of the stream, before you decide to carry the rest across the stream. All of your group eats well.

Your clever solution and team management has raised your mental and social spheres, and the creatures' meat has raised your physical sphere.

This kind of exercise should be good for you. Maybe while you're at it you should start to try and tell the differences in faces, not just horns and blood color. It'll do you good to have good recognition skills, and the experience should let you bond with other grubs.

Try to even associate some certain combos of sounds to each other to distinguish who is who.

This is an excellent idea. If you begin to learn who is who and assign them calls, you'll be able to indicate which grub you need for a certain situation!

You decide, in this moment of boredom, that you wish to do something... memorable. You look at the faces of the grubs around you. This one has a rounder face, that one, a sharper nose, longer ears on this other... You decide to do something revolutionary. You decide to draw your group, immortalize them in the side of the cavern. You begin, first, with the first grub you saw. The yellow one, thick, short horns against the top of his head, wide mouth... you probably do not do him justice. Then the red grub, trying to think of how he looked before all of those cuts. The others see what you're doing, taking your blood and smearign it on the walls, making pictures. One of them draws you, the horns going up from the back of your head, curving in front of your face, and you're standing tall. More and more join in.

You follow up this moment of revolution with another. You talk to the others, and, in the chittering language of the grubs, you ask them what sounds they associate with themselves. They aren't too sure how to respond. One of them, however, pipes up, a teal-blood with sharp, conical horns. He makes three sounds: Si-Va-Ta. Others respond after him: the orange blood with the fire abilities, Ta-Va-Ro, the indigo, Ve-Ze-Ni, and more and more, each one painting their sounds on the wall, in symbols that only they understand.

But you... what sounds do you associate with yourself?

Unfortunately, Bardic, the democratic process wins out here.

You have now taken your own wriggler name: Fus-Ro-Da. Unfortunately, since you aren't a lowblood and therefore have less destructive psychic powers, you can't shout your name and cause people to be blown to bits. The writer can, however, break the fourth wall into tiny pieces.

You're not exactly going to be keeping these wriggler names by the time the Trials come around and the matron gives you your sign, but for now, it's a much easier way to communicate, and you've gotten a slightly better grasp on associating sounds with objects. Social and mental spheres rise, as well as empathy.
