I put another point into scouting, grab the baton and leave my portable stove and fuel back at the base, and follow the rest of the group towards that building to the right.

The Professor began to walk over to the rightmost building, which was pretty far away from the ranch anyway. On the way, the Professor feels like he could expand his knowledge and become better at something, but he doesn't know what. The Professor has an unspent skill point!

Richard goes walking with the Professor, but begins to think about all his sneaky ways and days of sneaking and such. He becomes even better at being a sneaky fucker. Richard has gained Sneaking LVL 2!

Vincent begins to build a barricade and spouts off something insane and incomprehensible that if from some sort of movie. As he works, he thinks about his strange psychic powers and how to better unleash them.
Vincent has gained Channeling LVL 2, and with it, 5 bonus Psychic points!
Finally, he wipes some sweat from his face as his stands back from his barricading work.
The Stronghold gains +15 Defense! -10 Barricading Supplies. Vincent gains +1 Experience!

Jake goes off with the Professor, his pocket knife in tow.
On the way, Jake thinks about the injuries he and the others have taken from these crazy monsters. He thinks that he should probably get to working out more.
Jake has gained Body LVL 2, and with it, +5 Health points!

Kashuan looks around the Stronghold's barn and stable, but finds nothing! They had already looted everything when they first moved in.
With that said, he realizes that if somebody in their party had enough Building Skill, they could break down parts of these buildings to get a large amount of barricading supplies.
As he turns to leave, Kashuan notices a tiny shimmer on the floor. He walks towards it, and grins with glee as he notices a Circular Saw Blade and picks it up with no hesitation.
Also, he realizes that walking around with 10 food rations is annoying and heavy. Maybe he should put that with the rest of the rations back in the farmhouse.

Karkat intelligently leaves his Fuel and Stove at home, and tries to get Vincent's baton, but he starts going fucking crazy so Karkat steps off. However, without any other weapons and sad that his chainsaw is gone, he just takes a shovel with him instead.
On the way over to the other building, Karkat thinks about his harrowing encounter with the Stalker and the other Fiends and realizes that in order to survive, he would need to look out for them much more.
Karkat gains Scouting LVL 2!

Finally, The Professor and his posse make it to the other building. Richard goes first, using his superior sneaking skillz.
Within the building, the group finds evidence of something living there. They also come across 3 naked dead bodies, each one having marks of a horrible weapon tearing them up. It is obvious they went through great pain before they died.

Then, Karkat suddenly freezes, he whispers to the others that he heard something from the next room over.

The Professor prepares his shitstorm macespear. One the way, he offsets the tension by thinking about books and his job back at the university. The thought makes him realize that even in this post-apocalyptic world, knowledge is power.
The Professor gains Academics LVL 2

Vincent barricades the ranch again.
The Ranch gains +15 Defense! -10 Barricading Supplies Vincent gains +1 Experience!
Vincent also realizes that, while he was building the barricades, it was not very efficient. He wasn't using any complex tools or nails, and so he only got 1.5 defense per 1 Barricading Supplies.

Richard, Jake, Karkat, and Kashuan creep around, with Richard leading ahead.

Finally, Richard creeps around a corner and sees what was making the noise.
Leaning over a battered coffee table stood a large man. The man had gray skin, and was wearing what appeared to be human skins, so he was probably a fiend.
The fiend was also wearing what appeared to be a skull on his head. It was a very, very pretty skull. Upon further reflection, it looked like the skull that RAYUM had given them.

At the Fiend's hip was a very familiar chainsaw. Karkat resisted the urge to strangle this fiend with his bare hands.

Richard also saw what the Fiend was looking at. It was looking at a puzzle-box, one that most of the party would recognize. The Chainsaw Torturer Fiend took a delicate piece from the box and moved his grubby fingers across it. For some reason, the party felt very on edge, they felt like something very dear to them was in trouble.
Then, the Fiend snapped the piece in half.

Richard felt like something he cared about just died, he felt a heaviness in his chest. It was an emotional pain that hurt him physically.

Then, the Fiend snapped another piece, and they felt their hearts' breaking. They won't sure how long they could last through this.

Just so everyone is on the same page, The Barricades for this Stronghold are only for the Farmhouse, where everyone actually lives. The Ranch itself isn't really barricade, due to it's size.
As a side not, enemies can't get into the farmhouse unless they destroy the barricades first. That's why you need to build and maintain them.
