I'm a bit of a refugee. VGcats closed after a while where I took a leave of absence to do some military related shit. So now I came back and after searching for a while, someone linked me here. I'm looking to reconnect with some friends if at all possible to find out excactly what happened and to bridge the gap of where I left and where I now am, in respects to the same gaps for them.

By day I'm a college student currently babysitting my grandparents' dog, but by night I am a wannabe webcomic artist! Nothing that can compare to the scope of any MSPaint Adventures stories, but still something that I'm trying to learn and have fun with~

[S] John: Take bite of apple. - Simply put, I had tried reading Homestuck before and quit right before this happened. I stuck on through and while there are other moments I'll like better (different characters, better music quality, etc.) this one will remain my favorite as it was pretty much a reward for reading the first 2000 or so pages.

2) Who is your favorite MS Paint Adventures character?
Tie between Dave, Roxy and Karkat.

3) Favorite non-MSPA work of fiction?
Oh god why do you ask this question there are so many things out there I mean so much I couldn't even tell you who my favorite book author was in a given language much less decide that in all of the fiction (all of it) which is my favorite.

4) What music do you like?
From punk to metal to classical to hip hop to good ol' hard rock to some blues to some eight/sixteen bit stuff.

5) What's your typing quirk?
I don't think I have any.

6) What is your favorite Homestuck album?
I didn't bother listening to them all due to my whole "welp I could listen to Homestuck while failing at writing the follow-up to my first self-published novel but the bandwidth that'll take will be excessively annoying seeing as I am not at home" thing. I like what I have heard though.

What the hell ship? Some of these kids are half my age! That being said, anything that involves two characters that have had canon interactions.

1) What is your favorite MS Paint Adventures moment?
The first flash, where the Homestuck logo plays. That remains the most powerful moment in the series, for me.

2) Who is your favorite MS Paint Adventures character?
Tough. Vriska's tragic and there's something about Jade that I will never stop loving. Bec Noir is oddly sad. I glanced at Problem Sleuth/Jailbreak but they didn't really sustain my interest, so my favourites are limited to Homestuck.

3) Favorite non-MSPA work of fiction?
Tough. I wouldn't be able to pick a favourite. A Storm of Swords and 1984 are in rather close contention for the title.

4) What music do you like?
I don't specify by genre, but music that's just going through the motions bores me. I like it when I'm surprised.

5) What's your typing quirk?
When I pester chums I replace the letter "I" (lower case and capital) with "!" It adds a pretty nice, enthusiastic effect.

6) What is your favorite Homestuck album?
I've never really stopped to take note of which album is which. I enjoy the music in general, though.

Vriska/John is my favourite, because it's so sad. I'm a chump for tragedy.

It will be a strange choice but I'll say [S] John : Take bite out of apple Because while I had read Problem Sleuth earlier, Homestuck didn't grip me until that moment.

I can't play favorites... I'll say Ace Dick, the kids (yes ALL of them), Karkat and Equius (I like the STRONG ones.)

This question is impossible to answer for me. You'd have to specify which format and then in which language.

4) What music do you like?
It's a toss up between rock, metal, punk and relatively niche hip-hop (yes I know this is contrary to everyone here)

5) What's your typing quirk?
Dubious capitalization for emphasis on WORDS which CHANGES depending on the form the WRITTEN communication takes, with FORUMS being relatively well punctuated (UNLESS FOR SATIRICAL PURPOSES) and instant messaging CHAT being far more LAX with punctuation.

6) What is your favorite Homestuck album?
I haven't taken the time to listen to much of it but I have a feeling that Strife! would be it as I tend to adore battle themes.

7) What is your favorite MSPA ship?
At this point? Jake/Dirk even though it flies in the face of any sort of canon. I like their dynamic so far (which means I'll probably openly sob and weep once that dynamic change and then deny I ever did any such thing for it is unmanly to do so for a romantic ship sinking.)

Purple, closely followed by silver/platinum/grey metallic colors and then black/white. Coincidentally it is the color scheme of the only professional sports team I ever cared about.

1) What is your favorite MS Paint Adventures moment?

I'd probably go with the End of Act 6 Intermission 1 flash. I enjoyed the song alot and how well it synced up with the flash.

2) Who is your favorite MS Paint Adventures character?

I enjoy Karkat, Gamzee, Terezi, and Nepeta alot. Although I think in the end I'll settle on Nepeta.

3) Favorite non-MSPA work of fiction?

I'll probably go with One Piece, seeing as I own 27 volumes of it so far.

4) What music do you like?

Techno, Dubstep, Ambient, and experimental pieces. Because of that, I enjoy a good number of homestuck tracks.

It,d probably be the way I used to replace " ' " with " , " for some reason that I don,t remember.

Vol.7 Price of Oblivion seems to have the most songs on it that I enjoy, that and Alterniabound.

I'm 32, and I was expecting to look at these forums and realise everyone here was about 15 years younger than me and then just leave quietly, but amazingly enough there seem to be a few people actually around my age, so what the hell, have an intro. You know... there are so many incredibly touching moments in Homestuck, incredible mind-screwy double reacharound bits, stunning Flash animations, etc...

But I still think my favourite moment will always be YOU HATE TIME TRAVEL YOU HATE TIME TRAVEL YOU HATE TIME TRAVEL.

Argh, too difficult to choose one. I really like Terezi, and I have an entirely irrational fondness for Equius. Mostly because I pretty much giggle continually through any page he's on. Well, okay, maybe not that one. But all the others. Oh, and Pickle Inspector deserves a mention as well.

3) Favorite non-MSPA work of fiction?
There is no way I can pick just one. I love I Capture The Castle and the Sandman graphic novel series and pretty much everything Mark Z. Danielewski's ever written.

I usually type in a fairly precise, properly punctuated and capitalised manner.

....I think that's probably a habit left over from playing MMORPGs, where it's generally inconvenient to type long sentences while you're playing so breaking them up makes more sense.

I haven't listened to them all yet, but I like Prospit & Derse.

Hm. I'm not super fixated on any shipping wars or anything. I like the idea of John Vriska. Yes, diamond. I know her feelings at least are more flushed than that, but I just think they'd make good moirails. Oh, and Karkat Nepeta because she ships it herself and that's just adorable. Also, if canon things count, Equius and Nepeta's moirallegiance is pretty adorable.

Besides that, "yes sir we are literally under siege by planet fucking jupiter", any moment with Bro (or actually any of the guardians), Karkat talking at any moment, WV freaking out over Tab, Spades Slick setting fire to Doc Scratch's room, when John's standing in his bathtub in the hallway and he's talking to Rose "you can see me, right. tell me what is wrong with this picture.".....there are a lot of good ones, and I am an indecisive person.

Bro Strider. Dirk gets more and more amazing with each update too.

Prospit & Derse is my definite favorite, followed closely by Volume 8 and Tomb of the Ancestors.
