Quick question! Im going to try and do some AB sprites soon, both for my trolls and a friend of mines trolls, all of which Ive drawn in the past. They all have...well, rather specific noses. I know typically, on canon sprites, trolls dont have noses, so Im wondering if I have to stick to the whole 'nose' rule or should I just do whatever?

Stilettos are a particular type of knife with a thin blade and sharp point. They're not exactly commonly known these days though, except through video games and the like.

I really wish we were sticking to Latin rules when it came to Latin-derived words, but yes, I recall "lusi" being used instead of the Latin plural "lusus" with a long u... /grumbles about people using foreign words without knowing how

also: considering noses, if you want to adhere to canon, it'd probably be best to eschew the nose altogether and just have a roundish face profile, but I can see a simple nose curve as acceptable as well. Like this maybe?

Haha, yeah, I wasn't grumbling at you, but Hussie... "lusus naturae" (the full title in the comic) means something like "freak of nature." lusus by itself usually means something like game, frivolous thing, joke... etc.

Yeah, the trolls look like they have pretty good personalities so far, even outside of the standard style.

Also, since Alternian "Lusus" is short for "Lusus Naturae", it actually sort of makes sense, considering that their charge is determined by the blood colour they have, sort of calling to mind mutation, and making them freaks by human stanards.

Your name is Jakius Rogero. You are a terror of the seas, and for you, there is ALWAYS rum on hand. Unlike most sea dwellers who are content to abide in their underwater mansions and play a passive aggressive game of mistrust and ill intent, you are not content to float around scornfully at everyone. You would much rather be actively aggressive, and terrorize everyone while looting and pillaging. Of course this has made you some enemies, both on land and on sea, but since you are always close to your ship and your weapons, you never feel to in danger, particularly when it comes to lowbloods. As for your job, it's basically Piracy, in both the earlier and newer versions. Of course, that doesn't make you a computer genius when it comes to internet piracy. You only learned enough to let you do the job, and you find it boring anyway, so you have it running on an automated system.

Your Lusus is a giant tentacle beast. If this were some imaginary planet with fleshy pink things, she would be called a Kraken. She can usually look after herself, but sometimes food is scarce and she needs for you to help in finding other places with food in it. You are one of the Sea Dwellers of your race. You often proclaim that you are an ARTFULLY CREATED HIGHBLOOD, AND A GLORIOUS SEADWELLER AT THAT. You know that you shouldn't say that though, because you know that you're dangerously close to being an INDIGO BLOOD. It's miraculous that you were hatched with fins. You try to avoid people thinking that though, because you're AFRAID THEY WOULD THINK LESSER OF YOU. But of course you would never admit that. First off Id like to say I LOVE your art style and congrats on first post :D The sprite is very well done too! The only thing I wouldve commented on is the fashionesque stuff, but because Nexira is a seadweller they can definitely get away with it. As for the bio, everything seems to be pretty good - but Id like to ask about the whole 'foreseeing events' thing! Is it an ACTUAL power? Usually lowbloods yellow and under are the only ones with powers, as Vriska was the exception and not the rule. I dont really suggest having someone so high up with a power.

Otherwise its all very well done, good job :)

EDIT// WHOOPS forgot to answer the colour question! Basically when you click 'reply' or 'go advance' or whichever, somewhere at the top (with all the bolding and font and sizes and such) there's an "A". Clicking that opens this colour pallet and you can either pick the ones there or grab another one by clicking more colours :) Hope that clears that up!

If they can't get the job done THEMSELVES, they shouldn't be FLARPING, and that's that!

You have very strong views about the HEMOSPECTRUM, thinking the whole thing is a load of CRAP. Maybe you just don’t like it because you hate when others UNDERESTIMATE you because of your BLOOD COLOUR, but you think all bloods should be treated EQUALLY. Unfortunately, few have the same OPINION that you do, so you grudgingly keep it under wraps. Your MOIRAIL has to constantly keep you in check when it comes to mouthing off at PRETENTIOUS HIGHBLOODS, and nothing RUBS YOU THE WRONG WAY quite like when he reminds you you’re the second lowest on the spectrum and how easily you could be CULLED. This SCARE tactic works, though.

FORTUNATLY, the semi-anonymity of TROLLIAN lets you mouth off to WHOEVER YOU WANT. Your INSULTING and ABRASIVE nature has scared off most trolls, or just plain pissed them off. You've had manyVERBAL BRAWLS and BATTLES OF WIT.

You do more than just FLARP and WORK, of course, which is where your interests come in! You like to think of yourself as something of an ARTIST. You're no Troll Picasso or anything, but you think you're OKAY. You tend to get lost in your thoughts and your drawings when you actually decide to DRAW something, but you're fine with this, as it's a FUN way to waste a few hours of your night.

The lines on the dyed hair are a little spidery - not really in the Homestuck style, which generally has three pixels as a generic outline thickness.

Something seems off about the horns if they're meant to be the same height, shape and size - judging by the full reference, they are. If so, you need to move the far one lower down or at least make it a bit smaller.

It is looking pretty good in general! Well done. I do note that you used a generic base for the hooded cloak style, so you should probably move the belt buckle right a bit so that it makes a little more sense spritewise.
