Not done yet, but I got two different mics (a rock band handheld mic and a headset) and I'm testing them out now. But demoman has a lot of lines and I'm doing both Stoned and Sober, and they're gonna have different lines. .-.
So it might be a while.
EDIT: Actually, just listened to the mp3 on my good pc, (my laptop is a mac), and the quality sounds pretty good to me. Should I use a different mic or not?

don't forget that we may be having more than one char fill the rolls as the classes (i.e John/Kanaya Medic)
so if you possibly can
try to make files for those as well

Sweet. If Dave is the alt demo, I'll try voicing him too, and maybe some other characters (such as Equius).
But I did start work on Scout Dave. I'll post the demo when I'm done.

I do enjoy Jake as the soldier, however.
Let's try to leave it as the main kids and trolls and not go for obscurity. Y'know, recognizable homestuck characters.

Also i think using the dersites and prospitians is kinda cheating...

Seeing as how this is a Legitimate project that is going to get actual attention from real people, I would suggest using the best microphone you can manage to get your hands on.

it has come to my attention that we need more previews
possibly in the form of either pictures or video's (showing the skin/voice)
also perhaps a video for the Karkannouncer voice
if someone can get on that

I guess for voice files, make a SburbFortress tindeck profile and pick several good voice files? (NONE FOR MEDIC YET, STILL WORKING.)

I'm noticing a recurring problem. On some servers, when the voice plays it plays sped up and after the file is done playing the game crashes. The servers show the Vriska model without a hitch, but the spot with the character icon and the health meter is still the default spy one. Curious. I'll have a link to a video detailing the crash up soon.

it's a recurring problem
i do believe it's for servers with the "pure" setting on a certain setting
the best bet you can get is probably offline mode
everything will work there

Yeah, It's a usb microphone, i've used it before for a school project. Sounds much better than my laptop's built in mic.

all valve tf servers are sv_pure
i know a few good ones.
there's house of mercenaries which is almost always empty, so there's that.

The problem happens on Wonka and ProTf2 Servers but I haven't seen it on any HellsGamers or SourceOP Servers. I wonder what is different between them. Perhaps I should check the motd.

So, whiile working on the Gamzee demo lines, I got to the class-specific responses. Do you guys think I should call the classes by character name (Ex: "Dave's a spy!"), or should I just go by class? (Ex: "Medic! Thanks doc!")

I think general class names would be best, since in the future there may very well be alternate skins for each class.
