    I'm going to let myself to batch into discussion to state the fact: the game's mechanics do not allow that. Let me explain.
    Gamzee's personality is - when drunk - sort of a good clown, when sober - maniac that enjoys every second of killing. Scout's rules are - you are either quick to kill or quick to be killed. That does not exactly explains sober Gamzee's personality. Furthermore, scout is fast and has the least HP of all the team (not counting kunai spy), making him an easy victim - that does not explain his tyrant-like personality shared with his ancestor. Makes sense? And, about weapons - the weapons can be shared. Jade sniper may borrow Dave scout's apple juice, and Dave scout can take Gamzee's Faygo - because that makes sense.

    The Gamzee Scout/Demo choice never had anything to do with the items, which quite frankly it's getting a bit annoying to me, as the/a Gamzee demo voice actor. The choice was made because of the personalities. Dave fits in with the scout because of his snarky, sarcastic attitude. Gamzee fits with the demo because of the whole drunk/high thing, and the head taking thing. Plus the demoman makes himself out to be the "misunderstood" class, like Gamzee in a way. And as Cooler just said, Davescout's Bonk! can be Faygo, but the sniper's er, piss, can be (the) apple juice.

    I'm sure once all of the majorly important people in this thread decide the final "official" choices, they'll make alternates to sate at least what the majority wants. (Considering most requests are for Gamezee to change classes, and all the like.)

    And Scout isn't quick to kill or quick to be killed in personality, that's only in use. In-character he likes to taunt his victims, like the heavy in the intro. Now does that remind you of something? As a clue, who's going to be the heavy?
    Scout and sober!Gamzee also have in common their use of mental torture. Gamzee sent Karkat messages to make him scared, Scout has such phrases as "I'm running circles around ya!" and "I'm not even winded!", making him the only TF2 character to be bashing someone even when he's not killing them
    Flashstepping ~ Speedx2.

    Scout is essentially just a human sober!Gamzee.


    Demoman is a depressed soul whose mother nags him about how he has only lost one eye, he's an explosives expert and he lives in a castle. Apart from the consumption of something that deteriorates the mind, he's got nothing in common with Gamzee.

    Awesome, this discussion is going absolutely nowhere at all, if anything it's going at 0km/h in any possible direction in any conceivable way time can twist into; it's like the yellow yard that will take an infinite amount of time to get there because the speed is so low.

    Look, the skinny is that Poh may or may not make Gamzee for the Demoman, and I will not unlikely attempt to make him for the Scout; and you, the user, can choose which one you want, possibly even both to simulate a moment when his split personality stopped being a metaphor.

    Also, I think Heavy should be Hearts Boxcars; as it is now, the slot is for Equius and Poh isn't doing any more Carapaces, yet I think either makes equal sense.
    LoMTaM is surprisingly similar to Earth, I sometimes can't say there is a real difference.

    Remember the explanation of the fight which said that Gamzee did the most damage to the king above everyone else (besides Vriska who was just behind him)
    the Scout and the Demoman are some of the most High-damage classes in tf2 (just ahead of Spy, [see what i did there?]
    Gamzee could potentially be a good reason for either the scout or demo, and I would absolutely love to see both be done
    those are just my 2 cents
    I would love to see more people modelling for this, as Poh has quite the work load
    So thank you Devieus, I hope the Gam-Scoot turns out great

    If I was finished with my modeling and animation classes, I'd happily help. But as it stands, we're still going over the basics of animation and modeling... So I am of no help to anyone. I'm just... there. There, being here.

    Demoman has the most damage potential, but that's nowhere near the same as saying he's a high-damage class, outside of melee-only areas he needs time to set up more defenses before he can repeat a successful 300+ hit. He is is primarely an area of effect class, the same as Soldier and Pyro. If you want a suitable max DPS, only sniper, spy and heavy would match, though sniper only when using the Bazaar bargain while on a streak.
    Scout shares its damage class with sniper, though they're opposites when it comes to their range. They're single-target concentrated damage, which is also the way Gamzee did it, taking one target at a time, dealing massive damage.

    I've been lurking around this project for a while, following updates and such. I've kind of been wanting to VA for a sober Gamzee Scout. What's all this fighting about though? It's very sensible to think that Gamzee could be either Demoman or Scout. I prefer Gamzee as a Scout personally, but it's not hard to see both sides of the argument. And even if it were, you just have to agree to disagree. Either way both classes are a pretty appropriate Gamzee, and there is a Gamzee skin for Scout on GameBanana for those wanting a Gamzee Scout. It's just a texture swap, so it doesn't have the quality that Pohs models do, but that's what I use on my scout.

    I'm just going to say this right here and right now and kill this pointless arguement.

    It all depends on the beholder of the eye, everyone will have different options. Some classes are good for multiple characters. And some characters are good for multiple classes. If you want to argue it, be able to actually model it. I can see Gamzee for Demo and Scout. But I can't model it so I'll accept which ever class he gets modeled into, cause I agree with both.

    So, AR dispenser is a bust. I'll post the pics I have saved of it, but that's about it. Iffin' anyone can fix them into .vtf files that'd be mighty appreciated, because all my files for the conversion process are lost. I can't even do the upgrades.

    Anyone got a good file sharing site?

    Do you have any tutorials or anything on how to make particle effects? Or even how to attach them to custom models?

    Also, I'm sad to find out a spy melee weapon I thought of would never get accepted, ONLY because of the fact it needs custom animations. According to an e-mail from Valve(its somewhere on facepunch) they will not accept any custom animations because updates may screw them up. And if they screw up, they have to go to the original creator and have them fix it. And just starts causing a lot of unneeded work.
    I would have loved to have a spy wield a lighter and burn people like the spy-cicle turns them to ice......

    Edit: Also, how do I edit already official textures? I found a tutorial saying I need some .vtf plugin for Photoshop. But my photoshop is cracked, so I can't install any plugins :< Do I actually need this, or do I need some plugin with Gimp. I'm trying to edit team colored aspects of existing textures and im not sure how too without screwing them up (Yeah, i can fail hard sometimes 8^y)

    The Gimp club on GameBanana has you fully covered, given you want to use Gimp; it's a bit complicated, but you'll need a 32-bit version of Gimp because of issues going all the way back to Valve, unless someone finds a fix for it. Then there's always the tried and true method of converting stuff with VTFEdit.
    LoMTaM is surprisingly similar to Earth, I sometimes can't say there is a real difference.

    Most people are liking GamScout, but I still prefer GamDemo due only to the body size. I cannot imagine a Scout-shaped Gamzee working in the slightest, no matter how much their characters mesh.

    This goes for everyone here; if you have some texture you need converted to .vtf and you can't/won't go through the bother of doing it yourself, just save it as .png and either post it here or send it to my email. Then I'll have it converted within 5 minutes of seeing it.

    Cool thanks, now I can try to mess with team coloring on weapons. (Basicly, I really want the Cow Mangler as well as other weapons to stay paintable. If you haven't seen it there's a cowmangler with a dark teampaint, that actually effected the teamcoloring and projectile color. "Dark Matter". Was either an experiment or bug that allowed it, either way it's a great idea, just not great for every item)

    I'd love to see a John Medic; if you need some testing (and Poh, too), look me up in the sburb fortress group - I'm HL2.exe had stopped working. Gotta spend a hour or two in itemtest for ya to check all the model bugs.

    What if instead of a katana scabbard, seeing how Dave never really uses, if it was a skateboard? Either the shitty one or a normal one. Plus, if we cheat and use a skateboard I know someone has already modeled one that attaches to the bag, and can be decaled in the workshop. I'll dig it up later

    I like the idea of the atomizer being unreal air, but it would work great as a replacement for his bag to.
