I want to do some concept art, and maybe some voice acting for sollux and gamzee if i get my new headset early on tomorow. Do you think i could get an example of one of your drawings from your main concept artist and see if i could make one of my own?
Somebody probably already did this, but on the off chance nobody already has.
I saw this on Deviantart here that lordned made Karkat horns for TF2. But unfortunately it was broken with various classes and only for the Parasite hat.
So I hexed it over "The Baseline Benefactor's Spirit of Giving" so it works perfectly on every class, and even looks somewhat good with a few hats.
I'm just posting this here as it could be a stand-in until the character models are finished. Or as just a random accessory.

A little while ago Metalkirby said he would redo it, and there was another person who said he would do another sollux
Okay.
Well, here's a WIP of the Gamzee Demoman with my new mic.

Something is up with the Karkat Announcer folders. While I was trying to organize my reskins, cause I use an assload, it refused to allow me to delete the folder. It even fought and refused to let me simply MOVE the folder. When I went into the proporties I UNCHECKED the read-only box, cause that seems to be blocking me. But right after I unchecked it, clicked apply to all folders and subfolders, and clicked ok, it undid it and acted like it was still Read-only. I did the multiple times and it still changes itself back to read-only.
Its only the folders that are doing this, i was able to delete the .mp3 and .wav files no problem. Its only the folders themselves that refuse to be deleted.
And before anyone asks. I was deleting the folders cause I don't need triple copies of the same files in my computer.
One installed and one for back up is all i need
Another thing though. I can see most of these sound files are not organized correctly. They are just thrown in a folder, meaning TF2 won't be able to play them correctly. Which sucks cause I love some of them(the terezi ones are awesome). The less experienced players may get discouraged by this. It may be best if those files were organized so no one gets confused on what to do with them.
Edit: Nevermind. Seems after a while of deleting all the .mp3 and .wav files the folders stop acting stupid and can be deleted. Still really weird though.....

I found something else. While I was testing to make sure I got the sound files in the correct folders(which i didnt, even after checking the paths with another pyro sound mod i found) I found the Mindfang model screwed up. None of her textures were showing up at all. She was just simplely black and purple checkerboard
Which version did you download? most current one is on gamebanana just to remind everyone.
also you may have installed the textures incorrectly but that probably isn't the case. If I can get a screen shot I might be able to figure out the problem or ill just get back here later tomarrow.
Totally off topic but I got a none hunched version of terezi up for refernce.

yep, you've succesfully filled my headcanon, thanks Jazx
as soon as i get the chance i'll try to update the site, my dreamweaver trial expired but i'm getting a new laptop this week so i can start a new trial on that thingy
You could just use a free script helper like Notepad++ you know.
Just gonna spit it out now but I've been thinking it over with a few of the model choices and characters. Even though we did rethink some of the characters I think we should try to look at them again but with the body structure of the character they are replacing in mind.
For example the heavy is HUGE and bulky, Equiss is fairly lengthy, but then again there is barely any characters with a larger build. Characters like rose being the soldier seemed like they were just slapped into place, even though the concepts for her look great she just doesn't seem to fill the soldiers body. Also the dersites like Jack and quarters would counter the tf2 colour theory with a straight black character, If we did this I would suggest we try a more humanized character to replace them.
So to sum it up
-Should make sense Eg: the playstyle and character needs to fit the character chosen
-The body structure should be able to match the body structure of the replacement.
-The design of the character should be tf2 esque, This doesn't mean it cant be outlandish like alien but it has to be outlandish in a 1950s kind of way.
its likely that there are more criterias but this is what I think the general guide line to follow.
Well, for starters, I believe Jade does fit the Sniper profile more than my headcanon for Eridan would (being that even though he is geeky, he still has some muscle to him and not entirely slender like Sniper is.) John as medic seems to fit well, but Gamzee as the Demoman, again, seems slapped into a slot simply because of the FAYGO bottle. I say we use Dave for the Demo, cause all that ninja training with Bro has had to have given him a bit of bulk. As for the soldier, I say we use Jake English, simply because he would fit a little better, in my eyes. That leaves scout. I say we go with gamzee for scout, seeing as how the clubs work as bats anyhow.
Lemme know if you agree or disagree.
I've never understood why John is the Medic. Kanaya makes far more sense to me. Illuminate to me the rationale behind John as the Medic.
And if you want someone to meet the Heavy's bulk, there's Heart's Boxcars? I dunno, your choice if you want to make it or not.
As the voice actor of Gamzee, who spent two and a half hours last night working on the voice for DemoGamzee, and just spent a bunch of time working on that same voice, I myself would be pissed if that were to happen.
As a gamer and MSPA fan however, I agree. A little less on the Dave and Jake though. While I think that Dave and his ninja training would fit better as Demo, I feel that the Scout fits better for him. The personality and the body of the scout really seem more fitting for Dave. Jake however, I fully disagree with. I really think we should stick with the Pre-Scratch kids. And Gamzee. While I love the idea of him as Demo, and the personality fits, (Drunk=Stoned) he really seems to be able to be either or. Just my thoughts.
Like Kirby said, we really should stick to the humanoid characters. Equius really seems to be the perfect fit for the Heavy. And with John as medic, I myself don't really understand either. But for some reason John+Medic really clicks for me.
why hasn't anyone stated
Equius and his thing for building robots (engineer) i'm not saying we should do this, but why hasn't anyone said anything about that subject
OH MY GOD.
I NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT THAT.
YES. OH MY GOD YES.
While yes, that is a good Idea, Sollux to me is a much better fit for the Engie (Personality and such.) These are just my opinions.
Also, I decided to try making some concept art myself. Specifically, DemoEngie. I know you have a friend doing it, but I wanted to try it myself.![]()
Figured I'd upload the progress on the hidden blade fix again.
This is the current problem

It works fine in world view, so if you dont actually use the knife your golden just looks terribad in firstperson :T. Not sure as of right now how to fix it.
When it comes to build, using Equius as the Heavy is more appropriate than it seems at first glance. Sure as a kid, Equius is lean, but Darkleer is muscular in build and since he's genetically identical to Equius, it is likely that Equius would grow into that body shape.
