Wow... I even missed this obvious typo for quite a long time...Meant to say I wasn't wearing said jacket.

And "lousy" as an insult originally meant lice-infested. Louse-y. "Lousy" as in "lousy with _____" is 1850s-ish-speak meaning "swarming with"...which is what lice do anyway.

I learned that from A Series of Unfortunate Events.
    Oh, Lemony.

Anyway, I missed that you can copy multiple layers at once , keep them in the layers they are, and paste them in another Photoshop document. (So if you have a multi-layered eye, you can move it to another document without having to merge them or move them back into place)
Select the layers you want to copy
    Select duplicate
In the duplication box, there's a little drop down that has the destination document, by default the document the layers are already in.

    Works with groups, too!

In Plants Vs. Zombies, the zombie with a newspaper died on the toilet. I played the game twice through before realizing. He even appears on the pause screen.

A movie is something that moves.

I can't believe it took me 17 years to realize this.

In pokemon, the nurses say "We hope to see you again" I always assumed this was being polite, but only recently have I noticed it sounds all too much like a passive-aggressive wish of harm against my pokemon :/

And the "Flick" from "Chick Flick" comes from the fact that the moving picture shows used to be lit by an old-fashioned light bulb, causing a flickering effect. Thus calling flims "flicks".

for a while i started using the term obstensibly a lot because i thought it was cool

then after a couple of months someone told me it was ostensibly and not obstensibly

and then i felt like a fucking idiot

They actually removed it for once generation - I think it was SoulSilver and HeartGold - then brought it back for Black and White. Creepy!

Well they know you're going to get your monsters into fights whatever they do, so maybe they're trying to say 'admitting your guys are hurt is better than getting them killed'. That's just how I saw it, and it's still a creepy way of putting it.

My older brother's Blast Corps was beaten (at least gold medals) before he gave it to me. I had no idea what the real game was like (excepting the replayable levels) until I got a Memory Pak recently.

And yes, cruising around nearly empty levels in that game is FUN.

I missed that I was bleeding so much after that dog attack.

Relatedly, I missed that adrenaline blocks pain, because the bites didn't hurt until after I had calmed down.

I've missed a LOT of PopCap related things. Mostly in the Peggle series.

*One of Renfield's levels is called "Baseball". I only recently realized why.
*Lord Cinderbottom appears in at least one of his original levels, making him the only master to appear in a non-Nights level.
*A bowling ball makes an appearence in one of Splork's pre-Nights levels.
*Undercover Unicorn's car in Peggle Nights has a GIANT HORN on the front. (I realized this after I started calling it the Unicornmobile.)
*Renfield's "NOOOOO!!!" isn't a self portrait: The pumpkin in the picture looks completely different.
*Tula and Hu are the only masters that appear in all five of their Nights levels. They also both appear in each others' levels, and Bjorn appears in both.
*Bjorn states when you meet him that he founded the Peggle Institute. However, one of Tula's levels hints that he wasn't the only one.
*In Claude's "Polluted Picnic", Claude and his friend (whose name I forget) are eating stereotypical French foods (wine, cheese, etc)
*One of the people fleeing from Claude in one of his Nights levels is a potato on legs.
    *Peggle is also a verb.
*There are hints in both this game and Plants vs. Zombies that hint at a post-modern setting.
*Renfield didn't spontaneously stop talking to his cousin in PvZ; he's dead.
    Ask the PvZ Plants here
