I've been checking up on this forum for the last few months now. Just wanted to tell you all that you're doing such an amazing job with everything! I definitely can't wait to see the final product. It certainly seems to be shaping up into something awesome, and it looks like it's so close to being finished!
I started on the king pictures for where he's blasting eye beams upwards, but turns out I'm absolutely terrible at effects..would anyone else be able to add in the flashes for me maybe? I included the picture from the storyboard too, or let me know if these images need changing in any way first
ps those last Tavros sprites look amazing O.O
@MoraicTrochee: thanks! I'll PM it to him, but just in case here's a public link to the .fla http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33769829/dersites5.fla
(Note that this was made with CS3. I don't know if that's relevant, but I suppose there could be compatibility issues. [/knowsnothingaboutflash])
Btw, I missed saying this earlier, but that looks totally rad, Lientie. I really like the painterly look you've achieved, and the animation looks good too.
Scarodactyl - Thanks for the link! We need to get better as a community at remembering to get these public flash links out to make things easy, so that was a good call.
Lientie - Tremendous work! I am very impressed. We will try to get some more volunteers for the flashes
CP - Thanks for putting together the sample!
Okay, I think over the next few days I am going to send out a bunch of PMs to people to get more status reports and then put together another call for art Hopefully a lot of us will be done with school or almost done with school - it seems like our productivity is starting to climb again and I am really excited for all that we are going to accomplish this summer. We are lucky enough to have an awesome, talented, devoted team of artists, animators, and planners, and I am always greatly impressed by you all!!
I'm pretty excited as well. I'm sure we'll manage to get a lot of stuff done this summer. We're also very lucky to have you around MoraicTrochee, you're really a driving force to this project, keeping stuff organized and people motivated

Thanks Scarodactyl and MoraicTrochee, and sorry that they did that Flairina >.>
MoraicTrochee, just want to say aswell its fantastic that someone is so organised for this, will be nice to see the project moving along again Think i'll do the meteor descending bit next..
Also, mini status update: Kanaya is almost finished, just need to try and get the clouds a bit more consistent. Eq/nep is also somewhere pretty close to completion, mostly need to redraw a ton of tentacles and add the last part...
It's pretty much almost finished now, could use some feedback to maybe improve some stuff here and there. I've contacted pancakeMolybdenum on pesterchum and he/she was willing to draw some more frames for the beginning bit so that will still be changed in the future, once pM's done with that...
MoraicTrochee: Is Elicadragon still working on stuff for the eq/nep part? Like, the tentacles of the beginning bit and I thought you mentioned she'd be doing the Nepeta slashing the king? Just so I know what art assets to expect still...
Also, some of the Nepetas still have some white at the edges, could you ask her to fix that?

Guess who's back? (hint: it's me)
I talked to crystallinePerplexity and agreed to whip up some more Kanaya frames, however, my mom kinda confiscated my computer for staying glued to it for too long, so it might get a TINY bit delayed? Right now I'm stuck with my school laptop, so I don't have the files, or the programs for that matter. Hopefully I can get it back later today if I don't pull any stupid passive aggressive stunts and instead just ask her to give it back. (Feel free to reassign it if I'm taking too long. Sorry. UnU)
edit: The computer is now once again in my possession.

Also, I'm going to be gone 'till friday... So here's the progress I made on the flash of Equius and Nepeta's part: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/53935606/eqnep.swf
Any feedback is as usual very welcome...
@crystallinePerplexity: It is looking very good! The only thing that bothers me ATM is that transition after Equius snaps the tentacle; somehow the zooming in on his face and the fade to red seem to halt the action.
Okay, uhh, I just noticed something. I've drawn Terezi poking out one of the King's auxiliary eyes, but it seems everyone else has been drawing the main eye being taken out. Should I fix the assets I've contributed to reflect that?
EDIT: Fixed them.
Also, has anyone done the Black King raising the scepter here?
Bellstrom - Great catch! Is there any way to draw her also slashing outwards (just spreading her arms) so that we could have a reason that the entire eye is gone as opposed to just pricked?
Also, nobody is doing the Desperation Black King Reaching out his scepter, so go ahead and do that!!
Redux - Optic blast eyebeams indeed. I've signed you up!
CP - Good catch on the background for Desperation. I've updated my list.
To answer your questions - Elica isn't currently working on the tentacles - by "slashing Nep" do you mean the one in the middle, post fastball special? She is not doing that one. I will ask her to get rid of the white!
I'm liking how it looks so far. The fastball special spinning is a bit slow, and the timing when she jumps on him is a little off, but other than that, it is really coming together!!!
The Kanaya is also excellent. You have been spectacular as usual. And PM, thanks for stepping in!!
Also:
1. I've just re-found these great tentacles by Crypto. I don't think they're being used, so I vote we use them for the Eq/Nep, to minimize the tentacle drawings we're going to have to do anyway.
2. Talked to Afrowolf - school had him mired for a bit, but now he is sending the files to Dream to be converted, so hopefully we will see the compiled beginning soon. I am really excited for this step, because I think it will be a) fun to watch and b) a great motivator.

It would be a bit hard to make her arms go outward since her legs are in the way. What if I made a couple frames of her sliding down his eye, like a pirate stabbing a sail?
