i actually re-did my terezi horns to make them more accurate. the last pair where smaller so they could clip onto a wig with bretts, but i went with a headband this time. I did a no-drill method with it too.

Tutorial, could work for most horns:

Anyone have any idea how to fix the cracks in my horns?
It's made from model magic around a foil base; it looked fine for the first month after I made them, but now they're cracked. :c

I've seen lots of recommendations from Spackling and clear nail polish for small cracks,

Thanks for this! I was wondering about this myself O:

I did a Kanaya cosplay a while back, but the the Ottawa Comic-Con is coming up soon, and I was thinking on doing a fem!sollux cosplay(even though I'm still gonna cosplay kanaya for at least one of the days)! I was thinking on having black skinny jeans fro the bottoms, maybe shorts, and I have no idea what to do with the shirt... any ideas??

I agree with the sloppy tank top, since it fits the lifestyle of spending most of one's time indoors mucking around on computers. Try a non-ribbed tank top (easier to paint/print on and easier to look "un-fitted" in it) or an oversized shirt with/without the sleeves rolled up. You could also try making a waistcoat to fit with the duality idea and wearing that unfastened.

So I'm planning a Terezi cosplay. This is my first cosplay ever and I feel like it needs to be absolutley perfect, so does anyone have any idea where I could get red contacts? I know they exist because I've seen Terezi cosplays with red eyes. I've already got the glasses, jeans, makeup, and wig (though the wig is unstyled as of right now) and just need horns, her shirt, and possibly red contacts ^^

Just red contacts or something that covers the pupils as well? Because that might be a bit trickier.

Also: I am throwing down the challenge gauntlet. Anyone that can give me even the smallest advice pieces for this cosplay idea deserves to be paraded through the street.

Imperial Drone. And yes I already know that I will need two buckets. That advice piece will not be accepted.

You tried craft foam? It's really great for making armor and the like. You can easily bend them under heat, shape them however you like, and they are quite easy to find in big quantity, for a cheap price. I could go on in much more details if I knew exactly what you needed.

Styrene. You can buy sheets of it at plastic stores, though they can get pricey. It's a sheet of plastic that can easily be cut with an exacto knife, and bet with a heat gun / source of heat.

If you mean sclera contacts, aka the ones that cover your whole eyes, I hope you're prepared to shell out over $100, maybe over $200; cheap sclera lenses can permanently damage your eyesight and honestly, you'll actually be blind!

If you'd like to go with a less dangerous route, try using eyeshadow on your eyelid to look like your eye, then close your eye for pictures! Works very well and there's no risk of permanent eye damage, plus you can see at the con!

Seconding what Lexa said, especially about taking care of your eyes if you want to go with sclera contacts. Detailed tutorial on painting your eyelids.

I like the above suggestions for the fem!Sollux shirt being a baggy tank top, and i'll probably wear a bando (strapless elastic bra tube top thingy) underneath as well!
I ordered a pair of plastic 3-d glasses off of e-bay and they will be coming in soon, and I finished the horns last night!! I just have to get an old headband and different screws and fasteners(ill put some pics, as well as a link to the 3-d glasses under a spoilers tab). I realized at the last second the tiny nub horns can be karkat horns as well if i ever decide to cosplay him

    Hi again~
I'm still stuck in my GodTierAradia cosplay.
I only have the shoes and I know what wig I'm going to get and contacts but I'm still stuck on trying to find her dress.
I can't sew to save my life either.
Does anyone know another website or something where I can order a (please cheap) dress so I can modify it for later?

Re: MSPA Cosplay 4: Breaking convention centre fire codes ...fashionably

something like this could work, if it didn't have the black band around it.... it is almost perfect otherwise, it even has an slit opening in the back so you can wear the wings under the dress.

however, might i suggest looking at sleeping shirts, like these?

So, I am planning on cosplaying young Handmaid. I have several questions to that respect. First of all, all links to the rams horns are out of stock, and the link to the tutorial for making rams horns doesn't work for me. Could someone help me find a tutorial for that? As well, I am confused as to how to make the shirt...

Thanks for pointing that out! It looks like mandihage deleted her Tumblr, so here's a different tutorial for Aradia horns that uses insulation foam and Model Magic.

    Shirt reference.

She also wears a lighter green undershirt that matches her socks.

If you do the above, definitely draft with newspaper first so you can get the precise fold-over-areas and shapes down. If that isn't your cuppa, you could also just make or find a shirt and paint/sew the zig-zag pattern to the front of it.

@aM: Making the god-tier Aradia dress might even be easier than modifying an existing one.
If you're afraid to make sleeves, you could probably even just make a sleeveless dress and layer it over a red t-shirt. It's just a simple A-line mini dress, it seems, but with the back being longer and cut into 2 tails, and the front being cut into that wish shape. It looks like a good dress to start with for a newbie.
For the hood, you could just cut this: red horror robe
It's red, it's cheap, and it looks like the hood is probably the right shape or close enough. There are other reaper-ish costumes that you could easily cut up, bleach, and re-dye a dark red to use as hoods.

Thank you everyone for the advice.
I might stick to sewing or just modifying that sleeping shirt. I'm not too worried since SuperCon is at the end of June. n_n
Oh and thank you for the hood idea! I could probably use that and there's a pattern somewhere in tumblr that I saw to make the hood.
Time to get started then. Oh boy.
