It's currently on sale for $6 (60% off) which is pretty incredible seeing how it's easily one of the best games of 2011? It has an incredible storyline and probably some of the best art/music/atmosphere I've ever seen in any game ever. You and everyone else who doesn't already own it should go buy it right now. I seriously cannot recommend it highly enough.

I know it's "just $6", but I just bought gas and groceries, so I can't really buy it right now. If it is on sale at some later date and I have some extra cash, then I will.
In the meantime, I'll have to rely on the remaining amounts on my Gamestop and Amazon gift cards to buy games (I wish steam did gift cards).

Hm. RPGs are hit or miss for me. I enjoy some, but hate the lengths of others. Is it like traditional RPGs, or is what makes it good is that it's not?

While we're on the subject of Bastion: If you do buy it, buy the soundtrack edition. It's four bucks more at the moment, and it is completely worth it. Bastion has an absolutely amazing soundtrack.

Bastion is an action-RPG. It's actually more like an action game with a few RPG elements, as pretty much all of the stat boost you'll get are from liquors. Really all the level ups do is give you slightly more HP and another slot in the Distillery.
