Thread: [Game Chat] V: In The Year 20XX AD...

explode corpse is fun, but it's even funnier when all of your minions are rigged to explode when they die, and that you can summon an enormous amount of fragile skeletons within seconds

when a boss is surrounded by a large number of targets, the ai automatically uses its AoE attack that will end up killing at least ten of those skeletons

    If not, how come?

There's no thread yet. Is it still running on the shitty byond engine?

    This is a personal favourite.

I'd love it if that game was multiplayer.

has to be some way to balance gameplay for the drivers, because it's very easy to to have a sharp turn end on a hill and since it's impossible steer in midair, there's nothing stopping them from just catapulting to their doom

edit: oh my god, the kite game

    why

So, the X series is up for sale on Steam and I was thinking of grabbing it. But I'm seeing rather mixed reviews about the games. Can anyone convince me to buy it/stay away? To be honest, I remember looking for something in this style of game last year after playing the Space stage of Spore and loving it to bits.

The X series controls are dumb. Or maybe I am. I could never get into any of them.

Darkstar One has a bit of the space trading gameplay in it, and the controls are much easier to use. You can get it in a pack with Patrician 3 and another game for $7.99. It's pretty campy though.

GOG.com just let out Fallout 1 for free for a short time only, along with a whole whack of other things, including some indie games as well as Heroes of Might and Magic V complete and Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut, both DRM free (shocking from modern Ubisoft) and bundled together for $20 for a slightly longer short time. I am a forever fan of HoMM (MM:H these days, II is my favourite) so I am all behind this mash, but really: free Fallout 1. Just... go there and make an account. It is worth your time.

(I don't want to sound like I'm dismissing the indie games, but since they have been released DRM free for a similar price, GOG isn't really doing anything notable with them. Still: Darwinia!)

    Link for the lazy.

I've already had the trilogy (which is to say 1,2, and tactics) in physical form, just haven't really played them.

Re: [Game Chat] V: In The Year 20XX AD...

So I finally gave in and bought Skylanders, but on the 3DS

The good news is that the 3DS Portal is the most compatible (albeit it only has room for 1 figure I can kind of smush in two of them but I don't know if that will work for the PS3 version) so If I decide later to play the PS3 version, I don't have to buy the whole thing.

I intend to, as a whole, have only one figure of each element for game completion sake.

EDIT: Also when I was searching online to search to see, I typed "Can you put two" intending to finish typing, but then the autocomplete thing pops up for google.

First result? "can you put two tampons-" etc etc.

EDIT2: Hahahah I decided to look at this crap and one of them was "What if you accidentally put in two tampons?" Seriously how do you accidentally do that

Went and grabbed Morrowind the other day because I was looking for a game to play on my shitty computer that I could invest time in. Anyone got any advice for me or anything pertinent to say about the game?

There actually was a Space Station 13 thread a while back. We almost even had our own server up and running. Almost.

path of exile recently launched their donations page so you can get into the closed beta for ten bucks

there are also other things you can get for increasingly ridiculous prices

that thousand dollar ultra kiwi might as well have rims

Well they have to give you SOMETHING for donating so much to a game that'll be 100% free and with no pay2win items whatsoever.
