That Ahri was dancing in the fountain, right?
Oh man, mad props for playing Cho'Gath. He was hands-down my favorite when I started playing.
Dat new item on tuesday is going to make Lux
able to do things without blue buff
;;
I am in love
p.s. 8/1/8 Lux against Malzahar mid feels like a good game.
Your chumhandle is curiousCat and you are never, ever sarcastic.
Some friends of mine were bugging me to try this, and I think I've finally got the hang of it. I just unlocked Swain, and I'm doing pretty well. I think I managed to go a whole game without dying once yesterday! My Summoner handle is onFyre, if you want to add me.
I've just joined Pesterchum as unhealthyIncendiary!
And many junglers dont even need some sort of skill. they just have a shield or innate HP regen or reduced damage from monsters making them sustained in the Jungle.
Amumu, Maokai, Mundo, Skarner, Nocturne, Lee Sin, Udyr....all of these champions and more can head into the jungle with Boots 3pots, Cloth Armor 5 pots, and some even Regrowth Pendant 1 pot (For an early Philosophers stone). I jungle Often, What kind of jungler are you looking for?
I dunno, I just like being able to regain health through late-game jungling. I'm not planning on doing any jungling right out of the gate until I know what I'm doing. I was introduced to this fun mechanic through Bloodseeker in Dota 2. Quick rundown so you get where I'm coming from:
Q: Damage per second and silence for eight seconds on target, but boosted attack damage; usually used on self for ganking or tanking a tower late-game.
W: Passive that regains a percentage of the max health of a unit you kill.
E: Passive that lets you move faster when an enemy hero is under 40% HP within a certain radius.
R: Does a large amount of damage on target unit, and more damage based on how much they move over the next few seconds; used to either keep an enemy in one place or make running costly.
If you get the right items with him, you can get a little more than one attack per second for about seventy damage on the average hero or somewhere around 150 on creeps, one of the fastest movement speeds in the game (Boots of Travel and Sange and Yasha will bring you to about 425 or 450 [not sure whether the percentage from S&Y counts boots] while the usual is anywhere from 365 to 380 or thereabouts), and a decent amount of HP. He's got shit mana capacity, but that's okay because he only really uses that for his ult.
Cho'Gath's passive is superficially similar to Bloodseeker's W, which is what drew me in in the first place. He can still hit the wolves and wraiths with a quick Q and W for about three hundred health each late game, but it feels a bit lacking. I'm mostly just looking for something new to try based on what I like. I got an IP boost somehow so I have all this IP I'd like to blow on champs.
So today yielded this commendable match:
It's probably worth mentioning that Yi and Cho'Gath went AFK every now and again. Yet we still achieved a comeback with basically only three full working people.
Hey, sometimes in life, you just get lucky.
For the record, Rammus was the champion I picked on a whim on my first online game, and have grown incredibly comfortable with him in the short time I've been playing so far.

So you're not so much looking for someone to jungle with, as much as someone who is good at healing off of creeps without having to build lifesteal?
There aren't many champions that burst heal off of creeps like you are looking for. I think that Cho would actually be the best example of someone with burst heal from Killing sutff, but there are also champions with Built-in lifesteal like Nasus, or Built In Spellvamp like Morgana. These two champions are very sustained because of these passives.
Another Champion like this is Trundle, who heals 2-6% of the HP of any enemy/neutral unit that dies in his area. He is usually played as a jungle champion but I've seen him work top lane sort of fine.
EDIT: Another possible example would be Maokai, who heals 7% of his max hp (on his next autoattack) every time 4 spells are casted in his area.
Hit the nail right on the head. I think I'll probably try Morgana then. See how I like her. And yes, this is just a starting point. I'll probably be looking for different things later.
Edited because okay nicknames for champs are apparently a thing that I can't recognize.
...no mention of Warwick and his Q?
Your chumhandle is curiousCat and you are never, ever sarcastic.
Hm. Warwick actually seems quite a bit like Bloodseeker, what with his Warcry and Blood Scent.

so hey everyone
I've been playing LoL for quite a while but just saw this thread
I currently main Riven and Rumble top and basically play every bruiser in the game
I'd also like to mention that the new chalice makes me hella pumped
I can now rush a Chalice on Swain to have infinite mana and not die but I can still build it into something interesting in the late game
also it's a non-shitty item option for CDR on basically every mage in the game ever
also re sustain off of creeps question:
Cho is pretty good, but the ultimate way to sustain off of creeps late game is to just build a freaking bloodthirster- it is the most cost-effective AD anyway and it lets you fire ten shots at minions and be back to full hp
If you really want it built-in, though, there are still much stronger options than cho, nasus, and morg
many mages have life-draining spells; the most notable is Fiddlesticks who drains so much life per second he basically can't die with the spell on, but Swain and Nunu are also very good at healing themselves fully from a handful of minions
Within the AD category, Yorick is basically an indestructible jerk at all stages of the game and his Famine ghoul heals him incredibly quickly, Nocturne's passive is literally "hit a bunch of minions gain life", Renekton has an AOE attack that heals him, Udyr is... well, he's a fucking turtle, enough said, Hecarim's Spirit of Dread gives him life for damage dealt in a radius by anyone on your team, and Lee Sin and Olaf have buff spells that give them some of the highest lifesteals in the game
TL; DR: there are many many people with powerful sustain
even if you are not one of these people, Wriggles+Bloodthirster or WOTA lets you have godlike sustain anyway
for example, my standard Rumble build usually has enough spellvamp to heal me by 5-10% of my max life per Electro Harpoon by 15:00

This just in
Spectator mode is everything I love about LoL
without having to actually play the game
No.
So a few days ago or something someone found out a glitch/bug in the masteries that caused people to exploit them or something
Tamat quickly told GD that they were banning the 622 players who have taken advantage of it (2 days for people who did it once, a month for those who did it longer or something, IDK)
But what I REALLY want to know... WHAT WAS THE EXPLOIT? I've searched around the internet and the LOL forums, but I have no idea what the hell the actual exploit is. NOWHERE tells me.
Basically, there was a 3rd-party program (developed in china/taiwan iirc, the exploit was widely-used over there first) that let you crank up the number of points in a given mastery unit past what you would normally be able to. You'd still be limited to max 30 mastery points, but you could spec them in pretty game-breaking ways, like 7 points into Mastermind for 105% cdr on summoner spells.
Riot had been actively deleting threads relating to the exploit so as to mitigate its spread while they worked on a fix.
