ARENA
Welcome to the Arena combatants! This the place to prove your might and earn glory. I see you are ready to fight, well remember you will be fighting to the death. Still eager, eh? Then read the rules:
RULES:
Concept: You are a gladiator in a death match. If you die, your character disappears, but you may queue up for a later match with a fresh character. Your wins, losses, win streaks, and highest level are all recorded. You choose a class at the start, and when you die you can choose a different one. More classes will be added as the game goes on.
Battle: Combat is grid-based and follows the turn system of Frozen Synapse. Meaning all players move at the same time. This adds a big luck factor to the game, and will have you outsmarting your opponent by predicting their moves. Each turn you can move once and attack once. The attack must happen either before or after you move. If players end up on the same square, each will automatically use their basic attack on one another. Most battles will not have friendly fire, but I may decide to have some later on. Each class has a basic and skill attack. Skill attacks cost Skill Points. Turn are done by PM. Just post something like Turn Sent in this thread and then pm me it. At the end of battle, HP and SP will be restored.
Stats: HP is your health points, SP is your Skill Points (You regenerate 1 per turn), ATK determines how much damage you do, DEF is how much damage you absorb, SPD determines who attacks first if players end up on the same square or attack each other at the same time, MOVE is how many square you can move, CRIT is your chance to do a critical hit which doubles attack power, DODGE is your chance to avoid an attack completely.
Leveling: This is done by killing opponents. You will need 2 kills to get to level 2, another 4 for level 3, another 6 for level 4, and so on. Leveling increases your stats slightly. If you die you reset back to level 1 on a new character.
Matches: There will only be one match at a time. They can be anything from 1v1, to 4v4, to 4 ffa, to 4v4v4v4, and everything in between. This is what the Arena looks like. Squares can be filled in making many possible arena shapes and sizes. Players can simple queue up to be put on the waiting list for a later match. The winner(s) of the previous match will always be at the top of the queue, but can choose to be put at the bottom if they wish.
The first match will be a one on one duel to test the waters. To join just say Queue Up and a class. Or if you wish to be a little more sly you can say Queue Up and PM. Then pm me your class choice so that it won't be revealed until your next fight. You can join at any time.
Also I hope I covered everything. If you have questions just ask. And the classes might not be totally balanced, so tell me if you see something that should be changed.

Class Explanation:
Each spoiler below has the attacks and stats of the class. In the pictures the left side shows movement and basic attack, while the right shows the skill attack. Black is your character, blue is possible movement, red is possible attack, purple shows movement and attack, and yellow is buff range.
Warrior:
Basic: Slash- Swings his sword in one direction.
Skill: Battle Cry- The Warrior yells out boosting his, and any teammates in range, attack by 2 for 3 turns. Costs 10 SP.

Mage:
Basic: Magic Missile- Casts a ball of magic in one direction.
Skill: Flame Blast- Creates a wheel of fire around the Mage. Costs 8 SP.

Ranger:
Basic: Shoot- Sends an arrow in one direction.
Skill: Volley- The Ranger fires an arrow at each of the indicated squares. Costs 8 SP.

Thief:
Basic: Stab- Stabs his dagger in one direction.
Skill: Double Strike- The Theif attacks with both daggers in one direction, doing double damage. Costs 15 SP.

First Match!
A one on one duel. Who will prove victorious in the first match in the arena. The dark brown squares are off limits, making this a nice small arena for the duel.
