The entire Cromartie High anime series is on YouTube and seems to be staying that way.
God damn this anime is bizarre. I've watched the entire thing and it's so surrealist it's hilarious, but it seriously is the weirdest anime I've ever seen.

My dad went to the comic shop yesterday and bought me the first three volumes of 20th Century Boys. Can anyone tell me if it's good or not.

It's actually really good, though the first arc may seem to drag on at first.
I'd like to give 20th Century Boys a shot myself...
Also, the New Jojolion Scanalations finally came in! Hell Yes!!!
I love this series...
I'm not sure if there's a thread for this already (and if there's not a thread for this then I'm really disappointed in all of you) but has anyone else given any thought as to how massively awesome the FMA cast would be a Homestuck/SBURB? I mean, seriously, that would be freaking amazing. I say this because I've just finished with Season 3 of Brotherhood and Netflix doesn't have any more episodes for me to indulge myself in yet, and while I have to say I like how big the scale of Brotherhood is getting, the original's storyline kind of flowed together a little bit better, and gave me more feels.
Also the reasons for Greed to spill the beans on how to beat a homunculus to Ed were so much better in the original, in Brotherhood he just comes out and tells Ed everything for no reason like some kind of villainous exposition fairy.

Well yes, there's that, but even taking that into account Greed just spills way too much information at once for very crappy or nonexistent reasons. At least in the original he tells Ed all about the homunculi because he thinks Ed can beat the other homunculi, while it's made clear that Greed thinks no such thoughts about him in Brotherhood. He just thinks he's a kid way in over his head and doesn't really even try to kill him as far as I can tell until Ed figures out how to beat him.
I just looked it up and it looks pretty interesting. Thanks for the reccomendation, I'll check it out!
I've read the entirety of D. Gray-Man, and it's an interesting manga. It's pretty disturbing at times and unintentionally humurous to a non-christian, but it has an interesting story and good characters. Allen's a pretty complex guy with all he's been through and so are most of the other main cast members. The visuals are also pretty unlike anything else I've seen, though there's a definite shift from exaggerated gothic to more realistic and detailed as the series goes on.
In unrelated anime news, continuing off of completing Gundam Wing I've been watching G Gundam, which was the series before it. It's honestly surprising how different two series of the same brand can be so different despite being made in the same time period. As methodical, serious, and militaristic as Gundam Wing is, G Gundam is just over-the-top robot fighting on LSD and fueled by international stereotypes. It's also very 90s, if anybody understands what I mean by that.
Okay, everyone should take dialeticBlight's advice and watch Cromartie High School.
Limited animation at its finest.
A certain piece of album art:
Reminded me of this piece of anime:
No one can convince me they're not connected
In other news I watched The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, finally. It was pretty good, I think. I mean it had nice visuals and an interesting story, but I just wasn't captivated?
I think all it really did for me was cement Kyon as one the best characters in anime.
New Let's Plays available! Watch them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/MelodyBurst/videos
Agreedthe storyline is deep and it does have its comical moments . (of course the 8th MS team was the most humorous gundam team so far in my opinion
!)
I mean the gundam series![]()
Homestuck is my favorite anime
I'm trying to get into some new anime, recently I started watching Baccano.
Oh, I've never really gotten into Gundam, maybe I'll try it.
I'd advise you either go through chronologically from the original series on, or shelve the Universal Century stories and start with G Gundam and Wing. I personally consider Turn A to be the best the metaseries has to offer, but for certain reasons it's best watched after the rest.
Well this looks exciting: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/anim...ord-art-online (also here, I guess)
Especially since reading Homestuck, I'm all over stories about kids stuck in a game with ulterior motives.
In that case, should I recommend Accel World, Psyren and Bokuano to you?
...I admit that I haven't read that last one extensively, but all three series may be pertinent to your interests...
