I had trouble with the idea of getting into one after hearing Fate/Stay's length encompasses more text than the entire lord of the rings trilogy put together.

But otherwise, Casshern Sins is pretty good. Sgt. frog is hilarious, it's a gag-dub right? Because I found it really weird they were making jokes about Christian Bale and really obscure American pop-references.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica was golden, I cannot wait for Viz to release the dub.

The 4Kids version was really really horrible, but Funimation has done a pretty good job with it since they've started dubbing the show. They've actually gone back and dubbed the earlier episodes, so I actually would reccomend their dub. Just not the 4Kids one...

I've read the first route, and from what I've seen, most of that length consists of descriptions of what the characters are eating for dinner and the male lead waxing poetic about how perfect and beautiful the female lead is. It would probably be better if it were quite a bit shorter.

That is probably the most amazing thing I've ever heard. Just when we thought Luffy couldn't get any more badass...

There's like three more episodes of that particular abridged series out right now.

But yes, making Luffy into Sean Connery is one of the better combos I've seen in my time.

Re: How about that Anime and Manga

I..don't know what's going on in Air Gear anymore...

So they're descending the Trophaeum tower. Ikki and Ringo in a race against Sora and a brainwashed Rika.

Ikki has the Storm Regalia, Ringo has the Thorn Sub-Regalia, Sora has the Wind and Sky Regalia, and Rika has the Thorn Regalia v10.7

    They decend, blah blah blah

    IT TURNS OUT

It's revealed that Sora never had the Sky Regalia and only the wind regalia which he originally had, despite being shown with it.

Then it's suddenly revealed that Ikki never had the Storm regalia and has his regular ATs, despite the fact that it was also shown.

Then it turns out the Storm Regalia was incorporated into Ringo's Thorn Sub-regalia and she activates it

just what the hell is going on here

at the very least, the Thorn Sub Regalia with the Storm Regalia incorporated into it looks totally awesome.

This is before it even transforms.

The only thing I know about air gear is that it was awesome until sora turned evil. then things got hella confusing.

I've read some of Oh!Great's stuff before.

That guy really likes his fan-service.

Although I remember one part of Tenjou Tenge which was basically a rape scene, except it was so sexualized that I felt extremely uncomfortable reading it.

...I'm pretty sure that that one was a Senin (is that how you spell it?) Manga, too. What is he going to be doing after this series is finished?

So I just finished watching Panty and Stocking.

I don't think I have ever seen anything that does such a phenomenal job of not taking itself seriously.

As I already said, P&S didn't do much for me personally.

Monty Python has got the 'not-taking-itself-seriously' thing covered, anyways.

Agreed, and I haven't even seen the series.

I am, however, aware the fact that the show's creator had a mental breakdown about halfway through the series. I figure the show would be worth watching on that level, at least.

I probably should get around to watching Evangelion at some point. The only thing I've seen by Gainax so far is Gurren Lagann which was insanely awesome, but I know that the two series are completely different from one another.

Deadman Wonderland is a wonderful manga. Funny coincidence is that I just started reading it and found out soon afterward it's airing on toonami now. The more awesome part of that is that I found out Toonami was back. I may have to start watching television again.

I still wonder about the sensibility of having a bullseye painted on your back.

    There's nothing sensible about that.

It just a visual indicator of how little fucks you give.

So yeah, I watched Ouran Host Club.

Completely the oposite of what I usually watch. It was an entertaining break.

Finished Mushishi. God damn that was a good series. It was nice to see Ginko as a kid again, too.

Any thought on what to watch next?
