From the various Schedule Slip pages on TV Tropes, its described as "unspecified chronic but non-life-threatening", and "which shall remain un-speculated at all costs".
Which means its most likely either embarrassing or completely fictional.

I didn't want to say anything when I read your last post detailing it, but... those are exactly the characteristics I thought of. Thanks for saying it first though.
It doesn't have to be completely fictional or even embarrassing. My mother eats well, excersizes regularly and is ill all the time. We have no real idea what's wrong with her. It could be that he doesn't talk about it because when the doctors change their minds about what he has 10 months from now, he doesn't want to give the appearance that it's a fakey inconsistent disease.
Of course it could also be that it's not a sufficient excuse, so he's telling the truth that he has a disease, but if he says what it is, people will ask "How does that prevent you from working?"
It strikes me as extremely dishonorable to bold face lie about having an illness. I can see how people would blow whatever they have out of proportion, but he honestly doesn't strike me as the type.
He probably has a good reason.
I really should see about getting a new signature.
I trust he has a good reason. If I was in his shoes, I would want my readers to trust that as well.
Word has it that Rich does indeed have an embarrassing as well as somewhat-incapacitating condition. This being said please avoid E-snooping to try to figure out what it is, as that's just in poor taste.
Everyone should like this comic.

This is a sad, sad day for us all, as the latest news article on Giantitp.com has informed us.
I wish Rich Burlew and Rich Burlew's Right Thumb both a speedy recovery.
As the madame said, think healing thoughts!

Cure long-term debilitating disorder!
I think his long-term debilitating disorder is being really clumsy, because this seems to happen every year or two. I'm betting my chips on him having crushed his hand under a mountain of books and/or dollar bills.
I hope he takes the opportunity to relax, honestly.
Happens to the best of us. And given his kickstarter, I'd be willing to bet on the dollar bills option.
It lives again!

So, are kobolds and lizard people, like, cousins or something? What with Belkar's propensity for killing the former kind...
They're unrelated. And even if they were, i dont think Malak would care.
Kobolds are descended from dragons. Lizardfolk (if Malak even is a lizardfolk, im not entirely sure) are descended from... Well, lizardfolk. Im pretty sure theyre their own race.
