It was absolutely mental. Truly insane. 2 policemen came up to us and asked what Homestuck was. The next day we were kicked out of Trafford center for starting a flash mob of us all dancing to "WH4T NOW?". I also ordered a bic mac meal in character of Jake English.

This is for all homestuck fans in the UK, not just our "little" group but all fans and all people who want to meet other homestuckers in the UK. But we'll probably be using it for our base of organisation for facebook too, so keep an eye on there if you want to come to any more meetups organised by our group.

Anyway, since the past weekend was TOTALLY SWEET IN EVERY WAY POSSIBLE we ARE planning on doing another meetup. We're going to streamline and improve our organisational system so things can run a little more smoothly than it did this time. It should be... sometime in the future. We've not decided on when but maybe in 6 months, maybe next year in summer we'll see how it plays out and keep you all informed.
This doesn't stop you organising your own meetups though! Even though it got a bit crazy at times it was really worth it and it was such a great feeling to see it all come together and to see all you lovely people.

So yeah, thanks again for coming down I'm going to go rest and start thinking about what to do and where to go for the next big meet :3

Hi guys, just wanted to let you know something. As you may know/remember while we were at the trafford centre we were requested to leave by security while we were eating in the food court after laserquest. As you'd expect our group was being well behaved and respectful towards earch other and people outside the group (thanks for sticking to the rules guys!). Their reasons for doing so were not very clear and their attitude about the whole situation left a lot to be desired. Every other venue we visited commented very positively on the polite and relaxed nature of our group. This includes other trafford centre staff (excluding aforementioned security). The security expected us to pack up and leave immediately with no real just cause and were not accomodating or patient enough in allowing us time to mobilize a group of our size. We persevered though and managed to make sure no-one got left behind and re-grouped outside so we could confirm with everyone the route to the bus station and what bus we were going to get to get to the park for our second picnic. Before we could complete that process though the security guards approached us outside asking us all to move immediately as just leaving the food court was not good enough for them. This led to us setting off early which made getting to the station a little difficult.
Of course for a group as happy and relaxed as ours this didn't do much to dampen our spirits and, well, we were just about to leave anyway. But I'm not alone in thinking that they security staff that approached us were out of line and could have handled the situation a lot better. Just so you know I am going to be making the trafford centre aware of this in a written complaint letter. This is not a complaint against any staff member personally, rather a criticism of their methods used on our day out there. Also I am not asking anything from them either, just that they take my comments on board that if they had addressed the group organisers first, steps could have been taken by both parties to make our departure swifter and easier.
If you want to also make a complaint or comment please forward a written complaint addressed to the management of the trafford centre to chronosamurai@hotmail.co.uk which I can then print and attach to my own. Its important to me your feelings are heard. I won't include any offensive emails so keep it formal please
On a lighter note, we all had a great time in the other venues we attended and if you have any positive feedback for Kyoto lounge, britannia hotel, laserquest, or even First Buses/Stagecoach manchester please also forward it to chronosamurai@hotmail.co.uk and I'll attach it to the thankyou letters I am sending to these venues for being nice to our group.

The service at Kyoto Gaming Lounge was absolutely fantastic. Plenty of variety of non-alcaholic beverages for minors (and those of age who do not wish to drink), very friendly staff, wide selection of entertainment, and generally all-round awesome!

I'm for the idea of next year. One meetup within three or four months of the previous one seems a bit too soon for me, but my opinion may change, because we have six weeks off, so it's a golden oppertunity. Plus, the weather is more likely to be good.

Nothing is currently being planned for october. A HS halloween party might be in order.
I am starting the engines on the planning machine for a big meet next year though.
