The eyes. They're supposed to be completely dark red, to reflect his psychic power. I don't really trust myself to touch it up, so a minor Round 2 would make me incredibly happy!

Hello, i've been attempting to remake my first troll Azuria's base sprite, seen as i made it almost a year ago now. I've retconned her since, so it doesn't fit her anymore. Sadly, my attempts have been in vain, and i sadly didn't save the attempted edits. I hope you'll be able to help me out with it. c:

What i've been attempting to do with her sprite is editing it so it fits her AB's Poot made for me a while ago.

Here's the old sprite, also my first.

So the things i've tried to change on it is;

- Shirt color/design
- Skirt change (Making it look somewhat like this, just her blood colour instead of red.)
- Revising the hair a bit to get it away from the "aradia spectrum"
- Editing the eyes so they look more asian, as she was supposed to be orientally themed. (I'm gonna attempt to edit that onto the AB myself later, unless the sprite artist does that aswell.)
- Adding her mechanical left shin replacement. (Provided that it's visible on the sprite.)

If anyone could do this, i'd be eternally grateful. c:

EDIT: "Away from Aradia" was a bit vague.... so.... which is why i did the Talk Sprites to get an idea on hair style.


(note: i'm not part of the "sprite art team" but i'd creep in and peek at the thread. Maybe leave a gift or two behind..... I wanted to do this sprite cause i remember the fantroll from around the forums. +1 fan )

Heyyy this is super cool and all, but there's two things I have to note:
1) Usually one of us will already be working on the sprite in question, and that means that two people are working on the same sprite. Which makes wasted effort sad people. (Azuria is currently claimed and in progress)
2) Ocfos wanted the standard sprite modified, not the AB sprite :/ sorry to hit you with that.

It's pretty nice though. If you have an interest in joining the team, hit me up.

My single biggest beef with Fragor's AB sprite is the general outlining. And the collar. It all looks way too jagged and just not natural at all, but every time I've tried to mess with it I've just made it look worse.

Secondly, there's his hair. I pretty much pulled it from his base sprite exactly as is;

And I'd really like for there to be some actual perspective to it on the AB.

Another, smaller and much nitpickier issue is with his AB sprite's jacket. It just looks...heavier than I intended it to be. I don't even really know how else to describe it, and if you don't get what I'm talking about, then don't worry about it. But if you understand and can fix it, then that's awesome.

I'm still kind of proud of it, since it's the first thing I made that actually looked like something, but I kind of wish she looked more...interesting, I guess?


- one thing I kind of wanted was for her horns to have a music note shape to them, which as it turns out wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. Vriska's horns kind of gave it the basic shape, but I wasn't really able to make it look any good from there.
- I think ideally I'd like her hair to actually be quite a bit shorter, probably shoulder length? kind of tomboyish?
- Her facial expression is supposed to display a sort of fierce confidence
- as for her clothes, I always imagined them being sort of easy to move around in. as in she does lots of stabbing and getting tangled in clothing isn't ideal when your target is probably trying to stab you back. I can't believe this is the best way I thought of to describe this.
if this is at all possible (or even understandable), that'd be super awesome.

didn't quite know what you meant by 'easy to move around in', so i winged it and spruced up her current clothes.

the clothes are way better now, I think all I really wanted was for them to look more detailed and interesting, but trying to explain that was I guess too complicated for me?

I wanted to do it for fun, i didn't lay stakes on the sprite to do an official pimp....and i know she wanted the sprite (talksprite was optional)..... I wouldn't mind joining the team, but i don't know if i'll do more then one or two more.

This isn't a request quite yet, because right now nothing is set, though I wouldn't place any bets. Instead I'd like to thank all of you for what you do, especially the time you take to help with the sprites for pities sake, and I'm sure anyone would understand if you took a brake.
You revision remaster and hopefully for others faster (though who am I to say, I'm not your master), and with such ease as you please.
May the future be bright out in to the night, and let hope and life soar like a kite, so that everything will end alright.

I decided to abandon this project because I felt that the sheer volume of spritework to be done, along with the number of people requesting sprites when requests were closed (which meant that they didn't even have the respect to read the first post on a project done by volunteers) meant that we would quickly get swamped by people who weren't going to care about the work we were offering - this would have quickly turned into a "get free art just post" dealy thing.

Short version: we were not getting the respect we deserved for free art and volunteer work, and that's not okay.

If I can find an alternative way to do this, it's still a possibility; for now just stick to private requests from people who offer them.
