"Cain's Eye has appeared in the basement"
Shit's about to get real.
Cain's Eye will actually just give you an eyepatch, because he doesn't have that eye. Picking up Cain's Eye as Cain will make you utterly useless.
That feel when you get to Womb 1 as ???
That feel when you have a shit-ton of good items.
That feel when you die to a common mob.

On a different note, does it bug anyone else that the guy doesn't use apostrophes in anything?

Entered the Cathedral as Samson with 2 hearts and no soul hearts, managed to beat Isaac without taking any damage at all. Felt insane, man.
Yes, I did use the Epic Fetus, but I was aiming it with the keyboard, plus I had Tech 2, which really dumbs down the maneuverability of the shot. Not to mention I was fighting 5 of those stupid triple-shot babies at once in his last form.
Now that I've managed to beat both Sheol and the Cathedral as Samson, I plan to never play as him again. The only way to pull out a good run with that shitstain is to get either a TON of damage and fire rate increases, or get something OP as fuck, like A Pony + Epic Fetus.
Btw, nice bug with A Pony that got me through quite a few difficult rooms: if you activate it but do NOT move, you will stay invulnerable forever. Enemies will walk into you and take massive damage. Works great against bosses like Monstro, Fistula, Gurdy, Daddy Long Legs, and all of their various forms.
Okay, the Mulligan and Tech 2 are possibly the most wonderful combo ever. I have no more room for flies I have so many.
Pretty sure it's hard-coded to drop you to like, 5 flies max every new room. Kinda disappointing.
Finally beat Sheol, it took ridiculous luck and my hands went numb once
I feel like I could blow up the world through sheer force of will
Should I get the dlc now or is it better to do some of these other things first

I'd say beat Sheol again once or twice, then go for it
The DLC ramps up the game completely, so it's best to exhaust the vanilla version of all its content first :3
It would also be a good idea to get certain non-DLC achievement items like the Common Cold and Mom's Contacts where you need a certain combo of items to get them. Adding the DLC makes those so so so much harder to get ;_;
I think I may have found the new "broken combo".
Polyphemus sets your damage to max but minimizes your Tear rate, and Technology 2 applies your full damage lasers constantly. Anything I could get a consistent line of fire on was a non-issue.

there's no "max" damage as far as I know; you could go well beyond what you see on the pause screen and one-shot bosses. I've seen some people get enough damage for fullscreen tears.
I encountered a gold poop for the first time today.
They are hilarious.
...I could be completely wrong though.
a what
Edmund posted a sprite sheet of sorts on his blog a while ago, and I noticed that there was a gold/yellow poop on it.
I encountered one today.
When you destroy them, they spray out a bunch of coins. Like, ten or twelve.
