Speculation on the forums is that he leveled and multiclassed Barbarian - hence the eye-effect which is pretty much the same as Complains's rage. Also, apparently this is more advantageous for minmaxing than continuing to level in Fighter. I don't know anything about that stuff though, so I just take people's words for it.

Yeah I read that, but didn't feel like registering. Considering MinMax's dedication to accumulating Feats I figure a couple Psionic Warrior would also work since it gives bonus feats at 1 and 2 plus adds some useful Psionic Abilities. He took Int as a dump stat, but he most likely has at least a decent willpower. Being weak to mind control spells isn't MinMaxy.

Not... really. I mean they usually live in large underground caverns like with halls of stone i guess, so they dont even got no trees, they probably have to go aboveground to harvest wood for various shit so if they hate them its cos they force them to come and cut them down.
Alternatively, Durkon is correct and the trees are the enemy.

It depends on what settings you're using. If it's Forgotten Realms (Baldur's Gate setting), then yes. Eberron dwarves are more like a merchant people and then there's desert dwarves, frost dwarves, and even Duergar (underdark dwarves) and they pretty much keep to their own settings.

There's a big rivalry between elves and dwarves for most settings, and wood elves are seen as more savage than most elves so it's an easily made statement for a dwarven character to exclaim.

dialectic: Well, some people feel like Biscuit is K'seliss' 'player' (though he wasn't actually a player character) replacement. And the Drows 'reincarnated' into new characters. So maybe we'll see a Chief substitute some day? If we do, I'm thinking he'll be easy enough to spot.

I have started on GKC, though it didn't really manage to grab me, and I've read the first twelve chapters or so. Even so, I think it's good that this contest gives certain comics a change to shine - MSPA already has a pretty massive fanbase, so I think it was nice that people went out to support other comics. Kudos to you guys!

As for Softowl, I don't get why she takes things out of context almost as much as the original flamer did. When Thunt posted that second blog entry that was 99% requests to leave the original instigator alone and that the woman was allowed to say whatever she wanted to say, somehow Softowl managed to focus on one word - 'screaming', as Thunt said that woman was allowed to scream about stuff if she wanted to - and from that conclude that Thunt was a terrible, hateful, misogynic person, or something, by somehow downplaying the seriousness and terribleness of the woman's situation and describing her as irrational. Really? Hasn't she noticed that the original rants and accusations of this woman really do sound like irrational screaming and hate spewing? Why did she have to go and make this pretty accurate description that Thunt gave into an attack on all womankind? I hate that tactic so much - you can't argue against those people because as soon as you do, you're attacking The Cause, and that makes you Evil. I'd expected more of someone like her, and I'm glad most people don't see it that black and white.

Hey if you're going to get mad that someone posted about something publicly instead of talking to the person they have a problem with, it would be extra cool of you to talk to me about your problem with me instead of posting this stuff publicly!

It would also be really, extra cool if you would read my posts and what they actually said, because I don't think I ever called the author of Goblins a hateful misogynist! I just pointed out some ways in which his comic, which is a separate entity, evinces misogyny. I also think you're being super rude by dragging your personal problems into this thread but I suppose that's neither here nor there. I will note that there is a long history of calling feminists and women in general "irrational" in order to discredit them, and that that is a very loaded word! I would suggest doing a small amount of reading about the subjects I discuss in my posts about Goblins and why what Thunt did was unkind and poorly thought out. Thank you so much for understanding!
