From what I can tell, Siddell is basically implying that everyone returns to the 'ether' or 'the dark space that Anne can enter' after death. Not only that, but they may not be good shape even before this happens.

Or something. Basically, Coyote just dropped a massive fucking bombshell in regards to the way the world works.

I don't know, it would seem like that, but the only thing that concerns me about that is that Zimmy's hallucinations are never pleasant. Ever. While there are plenty of good and nice mythical creatures. It almost seems as if the Ether itself is doing its best to drive Zimmy completely insane and thereby get rid of her. But that'd probably mean Coyote is orchestrating that... And then where does Gamma fit in?

Crap, I just remembered MechaCthulu!Kat. That... I... Is she even human at all, I wonder now? And what was the author note on that page (One day, Zimmy) about?

I don't think Coyote's orchestrating anything, least of all in regards to Zimmy. Even though he can "bend [the ether] to [his] will", I'm pretty sure the implication is more that he's a particularly powerful being that is native to the ether, rather than some kind of ultimate shot-caller in all matters etheric.

I think Zimmy's just got a naturally-occuring screwy connection to the ether that only connects to the Horror Channels.

I just started reading GKC, archive binged, and am now current wit da story. Only up to p31 of this thread, though... turns out archive binging threads like this takes longer than archive binging comics like that. Whooda thunkit. With this new context, I just have to say, godfish, I love that avatar of yours with Antimony using laser eyes on Coyote. Almost as cool as having hair that goes up.

I'm pretty sure whatever Ysengrin said about Jones was said offscreen. I think about all we know as readers of the comic is that a) she is not a robot (or is she? No, she's not, ya goof), b) she cannot access etheric channels through the blinker stone, c) she's heavy, strong, and knows a lot of stuff, d) has memorised her contact list phone numbers... okay, maybe she is a robot, and e) she seems relatively welcome on the forest side for someone that hangs out around the Court. She also likes being called Jones instead of Miss Jones. Which brings me to the subtle thing I noticed here:

Annie calls her Jones, without the title Miss. I could be wrong, but I think this is the first time onscreen that has happened, despite the repeated insistence that Jones would suffice.
