Cucumber Quest is a wonderfully drawn webcomic by Gigi Digi, following the adventures of Cucumber, a thoughtful young bunny boy who only wants to go to school and be a great wizard! However, just as he is about to go off to a prestigious magic school, his father calls for him, and poor little Cucumber is forced to go off on an adventure and become a legendary hero, whether he likes it or not.

As I said, it is wonderfully drawn. It is hilarious and suspenseful and is sure to only get better! It takes a lot inspiration from the Paper Mario RPG games and the result is splendid. As of today, it has a good 100 pages, but is only on chapter 0!

Will Cucumber be able to live his own life? Will his sister Almond be able to show the world that she can be a hero too? Will the Dream Oracle ever be competent? (the last one is a no)

I liked how most of the recent updates can be divined from the chapter title page but then again that title does not bode well for the characters at all.

I enjoy that Cucumber is going to try and circumvent the storyline by messing with Disaster Stones that are lying around. But who will show up to stop him? The BLT gang? Brambleby?

the only thing i dont like about cucumber quest is it has a prologue AND a chapter 0

I think that Esrever guessed that it was going to have both because the Prolouge was introducing the characters and now Chapter 0 is setting up the plot and then Chapters 1-Finale are going to be a Paper Mario-ish dealie with Almond and Cuco going around and getting them orbs.
Even if he didn't say this I agree 100%

I was introduced to Cucumber Quest by one of my MSPA-reading friends, and I quite like it. I enjoy reading through the interactions between cucumber and his sister. I guess Carrot is kind of interesting too in his own *special* way.

I really like Almond and I really hope that she doesn't do anything terrible for the sake of adventure like just nicking the orb from cuco and tossing it away.
That would make me sads.

Hmmm, at one fourthish of the length of the Prolouge, I wonder if this chapter is going to be longer or shorter and depending on that I wonder if all of the chapters are going to have as spoilery a thing as this? It isn't that bad as just revealing character designs doesn't probably mean a lot and it is sort of like the silhouettes at the beginning of paper mario chapters.
Still a bit early to jump to such conclusions though.

Hmm, her name isn't a reference to sugar sweets, but a pretty green gemstone. She seems like a bit of a wildcard, considering that she was willing to step in and help Cuco, but did something in the past to at least scare Carrot a bit (admittedly not hard, but there isn't much more information to analyze her character with).

I guess I should mention I made an irc channel for cucumber quest ages ago in an attempt to uncover some sort of community for it anywhere. #cucumberquest on Synirc. It's got no activity to speak of(I'm the only regular) but maybe that will change? shrug
