Webcomics Subforum Guidelines (Please Read!!!)
Special thanks to Avi for assisting with these guidelines
We are snobs, but we are always friendly snobs! Someone might criticize a comic that you thought was the HOT SHIT, but that's okay. We are here to have fun, not get mad because we have different tastes and opinions. We joke around, discuss, analyze and criticize webcomics because we love reading them, and we are always looking for the next great one.
The Webcomics Thread
Stickied along with this guidlines announcement is a General Webcomics Thread. The OP of this thread has a lot of good comic recommendations, and you'll be sure to find one there that you enjoy! In the near future we hope to add descriptions to each recommendation as well as links to their respective threads. The rest of the thread is for discussing webcomics that don't have their own threads and webcomic-ing in general!
Rules are the same as for all the other subforums!
No porn or gruesome material.
For stuff that is not porn but is NSFW, link it as a URL and label it nsfw - spoilered images still load, which is not good for people browsing from work or school type situations. If the thread is marked NSFW in the title, you may post them in IMG tags.
Don't Post Webcomic Advertisements
This is a community discussion forum, not an advertising forum. If you have a webcomic and you want to share it with us and chat about it, do feel free to start a thread for it! But please don't make a thread just to pimp your webcomic and get more hits on your site.
Don't Make Threads Just to Deride a Comic
I don't want to read a thread that's just for ragging on CAD or Moon Over June or what have you! I'm sure other people don't either! I'm also sure that hate threads would lead to a dull, spiteful cesspool of hate and bitterness! Just don't do it okay. Constructive criticism is almost always acceptable but making a discussion thread specifically to criticize a comic seems counterproductive when the goal is to introduce people to quality reading material!
Policy on Miscellaneous Threads
If you'd like to start a thread that's not about a specific webcomic, just make sure that the topic is related specifically to webcomics. Other than that miscellaneous threads are acceptable.
Don't automatically expect people to not spoil things that have happened quite a while ago in each comic! Be careful when reading comic threads for comics you have yet to finish! I would like to ask that people be kind and put spoiler tags ([SPOILER][/SPOILER]) around spoilers for the most recent updates to each comic.
The Most Important Rule is to Have Fun!
If you are not having fun then please adjust your joy receptors.
