Music that reminds you of Homestuck

Basically, what non-Homestuck music makes you think of Homestuck?

To get things started,In My Spirit from Rebuild of EVA 2.0 and Dies Irae/ Tuba Mirium segement from Verdi's Messa de Requiem are Lord English's theme songs, no doubts about it. You hear either of those, and you know full well it is the end of the world and you are absolutely screwed.

    So, how about you?

Re: Music that reminds you of Homestuck

This may not have been the sense of "reminds" you were intending, but when I read through Homestuck back in August, I listened to "The Walk" by Imogen Heap on repeat for almost the whole time. I had just discovered the song -- I had, for some reason, just totally overlooked it on the album until then -- and it seemed like pleasant background music for reading. It went from zero plays in iTunes to well over 200.

Now I can't listen to the song without having strong HS flashbacks. In fact, if I ever re-read the archive, I'll probably have to listen to the song or it won't be the same. But I guess there's no reason anyone else should associate the two, although the lyrics (about slowly giving in) are a nice match for the experience of getting increasingly enveloped in the plot.

A lot of the songs used in "So You Think You Can Dance" sound a bit like Homestuck songs to me. It feels like any moment a real Homestuck song would start playing. XD

You can find lot's of "related" music in this entire thread on /mspa/.

My personal additions to it were:

    (Rose singing it to John.)

(I could go on and on and on about this one.)

I think of Eridan everytime I listen to Promise of Redemption/Bubbleman by the Megas.

Everyone's favorite Windows 7 sample song sounds sorta like it'd be a Homestuck style character theme.

Oh my god I do this constantly. I attempt to relate nearly every song I have to Homestuck in some way. It's really getting sad at this point...
Anyway, this song reminds me quite a bit of Aradia, especially the "I'm done with my dying" part. I just about flipped out when I heard it, it's so close.

I dunno, it just reminds me of one of Homestuck's songs or something.

Honestly for some reason whenever I'm doing Homestuck related things and I'm not in the mood for homestuck music, I will often put on some Pendulum. For some reason it reminds me of homestuck, especially some kind of battle music. I dunno. That's just me.

If "I Don't Care" by Fallout Boy isn't Eridan, I don't know what is.
It is a dumb whiny song about seeking attention however possible....

Despite everything, something in me absolutely refuses to believe Homestuck won't have something resembling a happy ending.

So, I can easily imagine the cast of Homestuck singing this Phineas and Ferb song once it's all over:
Below: A nasally-voiced twenty-year old who has just woken up addresses the MSPA Forums with way too many pauses. (Unless tindeck is down right now)

This one really covers all of the kids and trolls:

    In me, in you
    Orphans, kingdoms
    Wide eyes and paper crowns
    Time will hold us
    Time erode us,
    We're wrinkling chilling out

This one always has me thinking of Sollux and Aradia, though I suppose it could go for any of the trolls in the veil.

    So we're back here again
Tip toeing round the edge of the end
Wondering who will be last to admit
    That we're finally over

Oh man... There is so much music... So... much... that reminds me very distinctly of Homestuck. I can force anything into a Homestuck reference, but there are some songs that stand out a lot to me... These are just from the first 3 pages of my YT.

    Spoiler'd for long.

"I only speak two languages, English and bad English."

I feel this quote is relevant to my posts, fair warning.

Warp 1.9 by The Bloody Beetroots ft. Steve Aoki reminds me of Gamzee for some reason, mainly due to Steve Aoki yelling and when he yells WOOP WOOP it seems something Gamzee would yell in victory (It's Electro House, not screamo or metal,)

So, I was playing the re-release of Zelda Four Swords on my 3DS, and this instantly reminded me of Nautical Nightmare:

Re: Music that reminds you of Homestuck

Omg I heard this song on the radio and remembered this thread, I decided that the only logical course of action was to stop lurking and join the forum to post it.

Uh... This song obviously has some adult themed themes in it, so if you're like 12 or something ask your parent's permission first before watching/listening.

The Homestuck-y things don't really start until 1:12 so if you want you can skip to then. Or maybe there are some HS things in that part that I'm just not thinking of?

If you take everything literally instead of figuratively there are a lot of lyrics that are reminiscent of Homestuck.

You and me baby ain't nothin' but mammals
Okay so I guess Trolls aren't exactly mammals are they? But still.

So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel
Didn't Dave mention the Discovery Channel once? I don't remember.

    Gettin' horny now
    Obviously because Trolls have horns!

Love the kind you clean up with a mop and bucket
o_o I don't even have anything to say about this line. If you've read past act 4 (and you should have) you can figure it out yourself.

This line was where i first started noticing the lyrics were starting to get Homestuck-y.

Like the lost catacombs of Egypt only God knows where we stuck it
Aradia's always exploring catacombs and stuff. Gods, God Tiers, Horrorterrors. Also it has the word "stuck"

Hieroglyphics? Let me be Pacific I wanna be down in your South Seas
The game has hieroglyphics everywhere! It's insane! Also Jade lives in the Pacific!

But I got this notion that the motion of your ocean means "Small Craft Advisory"
Maybe something to do with geography? There's lots of oceans in HS. Also "Small Craft Advisory" could refer to the Exiles' stations.

So if I capsize on your thighs high tide, B-5 you sunk my battleship
There's lots of battleships in Sburb. Also Vriska and Eridan used to explore capsized ships together I guess.

Please turn me on I'm Mister Coffee with an automatic drip
Obviously Mister Coffee is one of John's dad's friendcolleagues.

So show me yours I'll show you mine "Tool Time" you'll Lovett just like Lyle
"Tool Time" must refer to Dave who can time travel and has been described by some as a tool, or to the tools used for time travel.

And then we'll do it doggy style so we can both watch "X-Files"
This part is probably about Bec prototyping with Jade's sprite and how it turned Jack Noir into Bec Noir. Later on it could also refer to Jadesprite.

In summary, it's clear "Bad Touch" was supposed to be a song written in honor of Homestuck but the songwriters made it too vague what they were talking about to the point that most of the lyrics almost seem to be talking about something else entirely!
