nah, but vergil is one of the (now various) reasons I'm highly considering getting this game (aka, I'll get it....now.... which console)

Edit: Also... I think I glanced somewhere that Galactus will be playable.... did see things or that's true?

He's playable but only in a certain mode, so he can't be used in actual matches/tournaments. Just like the Heroes and Heralds mode.

And yes, Seth Killian explains all the new characters every time there's an announcement. Good times.

He's a keepaway character that requires meter/work to land his level 3, like Vergil, although Vergil can very easily combo into that so...

Yeah I dunno. No plans on playing him in the first place but I'm sure the people I watch play will fucking love trolling with him.

In entirely unrelated news, I suddenly wish that BB Hood had made the cut for MvC3 over the other Darkstalkers characters. I had never heard of her before playing MvC2 but there is just something about Little Red Riding Hood sneaking grenades out of her bloomers that appeals to me.

...Considering her primary rivals are Morrigan and Felicia that is actually much less racy than it sounds simply by comparison.

Still haven't tested them (obviously) and haven't really kept track of analysis of characters, but I'm thinking Zero/Strider/Vergil as a team... is that an horrible horrible idea? (even if it's not, it's quite likely that I won't really use THAT team, not all the time anyway)

If Zero is your battery that'd be fine I guess. Strider and Vergil both eat meter, especially Vergil. Strider's assists are more combo extenders besides the teleport, and Vergil's assists are basically keepaway/anti-air but kind of shoddily done.

Just need ALL THE METER to run that team I feel.

While we're rating teams, I want to use Wright and Ghost Rider.

I dunno who I want to use for my third option. What would be some good choices to look into?

Keepaway team, and Ghost Rider seems like a really good battery so I'd put him on point. Or at least he hits like a truck without meter. You want to proooobably put Wright second and have a good keepaway assist as your anchor, so you can gather evidence safer. Hmmm.

Not sure on thirds though, anyone you like in mind? Because the only one that comes to mind is Dormammu but that's because I want to run him myself, heh.

Dromammu is fun to use (I usually only used the meteor shower I think, but still fun)

Slayer0, I have a explanation of Phoenix a page back. I watched the videos quite a bit and put what I gathered from them down.

Mr.Tie, you might want to switch out Strider or Vergil for a more solid anchor. Dante sounds like a good replacement for you.

ArmsAreLoud, I would seriously consider adding Dr. Doom with his beam assist. You could spam it while you are guarded and searching for clues. He would also make a decent anchor. You could use him as an assist character, a keep away zoning character, or a up close and personal character. He is good for all three. Plus you could play around with him in Marvel 2.

So a new game mode as it launch it seems, looks like something that would be fun to mess with and see how silly you can make a match.

I would definitely start with Viewtiful Joe, but Viewtiful Joe/Wesker have some nice combos, and Tron Bonne is one a top tier anchor, so it sounds like a very doable team.

And I saw that, I am wondering how that new mode is going to go exactly.

I like how they base the cards on characters that didn't make it into the game; it's like the Assist Trophies from Brawl. It's a good way to give a nod to fans of those characters who would really like to see SOMETHING.

The real question is if there is a Bonnie card.

I mostly like how his dog in every alternate is based on Amatarasu, and I think 90% of the Wright love in here is me tbh.

I've been fairly interested in this, but I didn't buy MvC3 because I know Capcom well enough to realize that there was going to be a new version a few months later.

Actually they weren't planning on doing another version until the Tsunami. That slowed their development so much that they weren't able to finish any of the DLC so they decided just to make a new one. I'm not complaining, 12 new characters and 9 new stages as well as fixing the horrible online? Go for it.
