You are one of the "intervested" parties I mentioned.

I'll wait for the other intervested parties (yea I just made up that word xD) to give feedback on the culled aspects list and the we can get the character creation ball rolling. Sweet, eh?

i think having both rock/ground is somewhat redudant, as both involve control over an earth-based element - perhaps one of them could be replaced with one from the earlier list? i liked beast, flow, force, wave and war, and all of these have been missed off - imo, these are better than some of the ones like doubt and wit

You are correct about Rock and Ground, I will replace one of them with er... Force? And does anybody think that Doubt and Wit should be replaced with Beast, Flow, Wave or War? (I don't, but yeah, group decisions. Also I don't really care. xD)

@Gordon: great idea for a sign that the Squiddles influenced the Troll universe! Since other symbols had been agreed upon, how about we come up with another role the troll alphabet's signs would play in Squiddle life?

I will definitely take 2 Squiddles, and one of them will be capital Pi so I can make a math joke Squiddle. But I'd like somebody to match all the colors with the symbols first, even if the symbols are rarely used.

I will try and randomly match up the aspects and the roles and the land aspects and then fit those with the symbols+colours+ink if everyone is okay with that!

also, reecer, lower pi is more commonly used for mathemetical purposes. At least in my experience.

...Trolls alphabet signs are very cool. We've kind of already decided on the greek alphabet though. It has enough symbols for everyone to be individual. Also, I think that capital alpha should be the leader.

Whatever I end up doing, I think I'm going to create mainly non-capital letter squiddles. That is if I have a choice.

...Wait a minute... The troll letters can be the squiddle zodiac! Or the shape of the terrain! Or maybe that idea is stupid.

edit: would stars even be important to squiddles? Most of them live underwater.

Oh noooo lower Pi is on the gray + green blood squiddle. I had my eye on that one as it's one of my favorite color combinations that I wear nearly every day. >:

Just to clear things up, my two squiddles shall be the black squiddles. Their symbols shall be uppercase Omega and uppercase Theta. (I wanted Psi, but I spoke too late...)

Avid, those aren't the signs currently assigned to the black squiddles. And here's to hoping not too many people try to claim multiple "special" squiddle colors (monochrome or rainbow ones) xDD I imagine someone would end up complaining if the six rainbow squiddles were owned across just two people. Not that I personally care about what people claim. I'd just hate to see people getting upset over it.

Speaking of the signs, there appears to be for the most part the same letter assigned to both squiddles of a certain coloration, but with one lowercase and one uppercase. We could even, say, call the colors by their greek letter thanks to this (Ex.: Saying "Zeta-colored" or "Z-colored" instead of "Orange-yellowish colored". ) This is rather awesome as it establishes another "duality" pattern at the same time as it simplifies our lives (and gives squiddles something interesting else than their own names to call each other by!)

However, the pattern breaks into garbled nonsense when we reach the rainbow and monochrome squiddles because they were aligned differently.
Do you think you could fix that and make them accordingly lettered, please? (Ex.: Maybe to humor avidGamer the black squiddles could be the omega OR theta squiddles idk but that way he can have an uppercase one, unlike in the current listing xD )

So, just to make sure I've got my facts straight, squiddles with the same body color/letter live in the same house, and have the same aspect, right?(with the exceptions of the rainbow and greyscale ones apparently? (seems a bit out of place though tbh)[FAKE EDIT ie the magic of the preview button: whoops got ninjad with this bit])

Speaking of colors: How does the typing work? Would it be like(To take the Alpha one as an example)

ffffffffff... for some reason I didn't even noticed blue's image. Well, the letter doesn't matter that much to me, anyways, it's fine.

@Aerok: That is absolutely cool, I don't see why anyone would object! xD I suppose that may be what ends up happening, which is cool because it pairs up people who picked the same color squiddle for RP. Interesting. Or, you know, maybe squiddles of the same symbol/color should not live in the same house after all. There would then be two symbols per household, but still the same land to be shared.

Edit: FOR THE TYPING COLORS: Some of those colors (namely the pastel ones) would be so terrible for typing. Just so terrible. And indeed, what about the rainbow squiddles. Maybe typing colors should just be Dark yellow -> All yellow squiddles, Anything the owner chooses -> Rainbow Squiddles, A visible but light shade of grey -> White squiddles?

Looks like you put a lot of effort into accessorizing your squiddles! I hope you're into animating/drawing alternate poses yourself though, because that level of detail would definitely intimidate others to some degree. xDD But uh... they're really not what I expected to see as edits on squiddles... and also, they look really... really Not Ultra Cute Happy at all.
I wouldn't want to rain on your parade but I think maybe you should wait until there is an official consensus on some things like that, and also wait to be assigned a class/title and stuff, before you design your squiddles to that degree.

I could give it a shot, but I can't promise anything of truly exceptional value.

Well, black squiddles (black being the color associate with goths and emos) would most likely be darker in their mentality than that of normal squiddles. Also, I have an idea. For a hierarchy of squiddles, what if all of the "warm" colored squiddles would be royalty (kings, queens, lords, ladies, dukes, dutchesses, etc.), while "cool" colored squiddles would be the peasantry. Or vice versa.

The rainbow squiddles could be a sort of religious class making up the clergy.

The monochrome squiddles would be considered freaks and abnormalities for their lack of color, and would generally be exiled. That is why the two black squiddles aren't happy dappy cute. They resent the society that ostracized them.

(also, I kinda want the monochromes to be psychic, but that's just me)

I want to claim the capital Gamma. (as the purple squiddle I previously drew... slightly altered to match that shade of purple (I'll do this later))

and lowercase Theta... the white one with the crimson blood. if that is ok. I realise it's a special colour but I intend to pull my weight on this.

I don't see a problem with any of your propositions, avid, (not saying that they would be ideal either) except for the exiles thing. I am actually really opposed to this idea (no offense intended)- I just don't see the majority of squiddles even capable of something like ostracizing.

But maybe we can get something better out of the discussion spawned by your other ideas! n-n

I can see where your going though. A race as joyful as the squiddles probably wouldn't kick anybody out of their community. But what if the monochromes were self exiled? Like, if they didn't fully accept the beliefs of squiddle, and simply left of their own accord.

Do you think we could conflate Words with Blood, and create Ink? After all, Blood isn't an important aspect in Squiddle society, whereas Ink is important for communication and identification. That would also remove the contention between 'Text, Word and Words'.

Additionally, assuming you assigned those colours at random, I think people who don't like their ink colours should be allowed to swap.

Finally, may I suggest that we decide which Squiddles live together by matching Capitals with Lower-case? (Hoo hoo, big-spoon and little-spoon tangle buddies)

@Rota: Blood is one of the canon aspects so even though it makes a lot of sense for squiddles, I think a lot of people would object to its omission. o-o;; But it'd be nice to include Ink. What do you think should be replaced?

Also, the colors were nor entirely randomly assigned: the way it is now, squiddles sharing the same color have ink colors that are at least two colors apart on the, er, melanospectrum (greek for ink as opposed to greek for blood? xD) so as to tell them apart with certainty- and one six-squiddle color group (ex.: monochromes, oranges) have a full melanospectrum distributed within said group, once again, to minimize possible confusion between Squiddles. Also, if people picked their combination I wouldn't want to be the person made to keep track of which things have been claimed. xD;;

It's much, much simpler to properly organize things into sets that really WORK, and then allow people to pick from those. :3nod:

If anyone volunteers to take care of the organizational aspect needed to have your pick of combinations of greek letters to ink to color, ex.: list-checking, list-making and informing people of available and taken options (out of the extremely expanded list of available combinations this would result in) and whether their combination is viable and all of that, would anyone stop them? xD I doubt it. I uh... definitely absolutely would not want that job though.
