    @bloodyEmissary: I have a start on pictionary which would allow you to grab screenshots instead of drawing, and returns Dutton's face in the event of an error. Johhny Five I'm saving for alchemy if that ever happens
    Although that version of pictionary is in the back drawe for now because I can't get this one bit to work and I switched modi before I broke my computer. I'll get back to it eventually...

    Omg~ This is so fun to use~ I don't get how to use the encryption kind and actually I don't mind it~ At first when I downloaded it nothing happened and then I saw a video about how to use it but I got bored all I got is to download Java and then I saw it could work~ Guess I'm either lucky or lazy either way thanks for making such an awesome program

    Why is there no "remove card" function, that shouldn't be too hard to implement?

    Aside from that, this is one of the greatest things I've ever SEEN. Awesome job!

    Last I checked, which was a while ago, since why would one voluntarily close this program, closing via the taskbar (on windows) or the dock (unfortunate coincidence in terms on Mac) works. Alt+F4 or Cmd+Q should also work for their respective systems when the focus is on the Captchalogue dock.

    Ah. Windows, then. I only have the Mac version with me right now, as I do not have my Windows computer with me.
    Ctrl+Tab should allow you to shift focus to various things. Somehow I doubt that's going to work, so the next thing I'd suggest is looking at the tray to see if you have a Java icon that got hidden in there. If there is, you should be able to close it by closing the .jar there. I'm not sure if that'll close every .jar you have running, but even if that happens, you ought to be able to restart everything else without shutting down the computer.

    Encryption works by clicking on the dock to open, and then flailing around on your keyboard as fast as possible.

    When I was coding it I put that in there, but it kind of killed the modus because the whole dynamic of the modus is based risk for putting items in. So I took it out. If you can detect collisions, the modus turns into 'keep shoving the same item in over and over again until it sticks' instead of 'argh now this thing fell out now this one argh' (which is the desired reaction). Hashmap is fine with detect collisions because either way it's 'what barely relevant name can I use?'.

    I don't think that would be too hard to code, but that would require a change in the underlying program structure and then a corresponding modification to all of the modi that are already coded and...
    It might happen? I don't know.

    Regarding the canonicity of removing captchalogue cards from a deck, or otherwise making them no longer functional as captchalogue cards, it's totally canon. I imagine the coding for removing cards would be similar to adding cards, but maybe there should be some kind of warning if the card you are trying to remove has an item in it... it should be possible to delete a card that has something in it, ill-advised as it may be.

    Oh, well if you bring the punch designix in then yeah, of course you can.
    But that's alchemy.
    Coding alchemy is haaaaard... (in whiny little kid voice)
    But it would be sooooo coooool, and I do intend to take a shot at alchemy eventually, so...
    I guess maybe it would be worth adding? It would still require modifying the underlying program, so I suppose wait and see what gC thinks?

    For now, though, if you want to be able to remove a card, just make the card empty and then reselect the modus. You can't subtract to below the default like this though.

    Captcha codes are generated from the item name, so that everyone gets the same code for the same item. But when you combine things, it's the code which is fixed, and you need to work out a name from that, and what the item is and everything. That's what's hard about alchemy.
    I think I mentioned before that I've pretty much abandoned alchemy, but if other people want to work on it, that's great.

    Yeah. The codes on the back of the cards in the comic are based off of shenanigans.

    The ones in this program are based off of like the first some number letters of the item's name or something.


    I think if alchemy happens the code system might just need to be changed, but for now it's fine.

    If anyone knows of a fix, please tell me. Until then I'm going to check the source to figure it out.
    BTW: Running Mac OS X 10.6.8 with OpenJDK Java SE 7 as my preferred Java implementation.

    Edit: Ok, it turns out that it was OpenJDK that was having problems.

    Alright I've finally got back to working on Zodiac again. I think it's most of the way there, but I'll have to see if it actually works, because I haven't gotten to the point where I can test stuff yet.

    But a question: I think I vaguely remember seeing someone mentioning the Memory modus being coded? If so, where can I download it? I am always excited for new modi!

    Memory and Boggle are now almost complete, and you can download Memory from github.
    I'll release them "officially" with the next proper update, along with Miracles and a better version of Array.
    Also included in the update will be:
    - A button to captchalogue whatever is on the clipboard
    - An "auto-captcha" option to captchalogue files and text when they're copied to the clipboard
    - Various improvements to existing fetch modi
    - Pesterchum widget

    Seriously though ... I just had way too much fun with this. Even when I uprooted the tree modus and opened a dozen mspaints all at once thus freezing my computer for a minute. :3

    Oh hey guys, remember me? Sorry I disappeared without saying anything, but...I do that. All that stuff I did last time was over spring break and then the last time I posted in this thread was the day I went back to College. Summer is coming soon and I'll probably be spending some time coding here, but when it's over I'll just disappear again.

    On a happier note, now you can play video poker from your Sylladex!

    PokerStuck BETA 0.2-Download
    -Lets you play video poker right from your Sylladex...as I already said.
    -Cards can be customized(probably, not tested)
    -Really just my final project for my programming class modified, but hey, Poker!
    -Fixed a few bugs

    Speaking of custom cards, I started working on some. I'm not sure about them, so I'd like your opinion on these two.


    Once I get PokerStuck into a full release I'll go back and look at the Appearifier.

    Umm...you're supposed to RUN a jar file with Java. Not unzip it. And there are plenty of free unzipping programs that can handle .jars just fine.
