The BIO-GRID! The Bio-Grid is a large complex, as mysterious as it is enormous. When every Basicoid comes of age, they enter the Bio-Grid and travel through it's many sectors, finally emerging after their journey having discovered their LIFE PURPOSE.
The life of a Basicoid works like this. Say you were to encounter a monster of some kind.
Then you BEAT THE EVER LOVING CRAP OUT OF IT.
Once said beast is defeated, you would gain various abilities and characteristics from said beast! The more monsters you rip apart, the more cool powers you get!
But before we enter the Bio-Grid and discover the many secrets held within, it is time for you to choose your permanent name and gender! The Basicoid life cycle is weird.

Aqua Depths is an underwater sector, representing the properties of Water. It is populated mostly by fish and other seadwelling life, though the anomaly does pop up now and again. To advance past any sector, you must collect that sector's GEM. Gems are usually guarded by a large and powerful monster of some kind, that are drawn to the unique energy given off by the Gems.

You enter the Battle screen whenever you engage with a wild creature of some kind. The Battle screen typically looks like this, with your options to the left and the HP of the combatants to the right. Your options are Offense, which is further divided into Physical and Special, Defense, and Item. Your stats are Strength, which powers Offense, Fortitude, which powers your Defense, Potency, which determines you magical strength for Spells, and Speed, which determines who moves first in a battle. As you have just begun, all your stats are currently set at one, and you only have one offense and defense technique.

This is your Inventory. From here you can see what items you currently possess, as well as check your status. You can also check the Gem counter in the corner to see how many you have obtained.
